Bowling, Poker forget it

Mr. President, I think you played a good poker hand into a bad one. Let me get to the point. We lost.

You’re in power and the republicans are not. They were acting like fools; you know why? Because they know what they would’ve done if they had power and we were acting as foolish as they, invoke the 14th.

When you know you don’t have a snowballs chance in hell to get what you want at all, ask for everything rational or ill rational. Let the people you represent know I fought for you but lost. That’s what the republicans were doing.

Here’s the situation, I knew you weren’t going to let the country go into default, likewise the republicans when you’ve got the 14th as an ace.

The 14th would mean business as usual but the republicans would have pie on their faces, so here’s what happened. We smashed the pie into our own face. We put the cuts ourselves and spelled them out, thank you very much, and for what? To get something passed we had power to do without the cuts?

We had the winning hand, they called bluffing and we bit tossing the winning hand in. How can we claim victory? How do we get our chips back? When will we ever show the republicans that we’re in power now; not them?

Mr. President don’t bowl and don’t play poker but you’re still heads and shoulders above anyone in any party fit to be President of the United States and you’ve got my support, my vote, and my effort to get you re-elected.

The Bailout

So far I’m not pleased with the bailout. I’m talking about the $750,000,000,000 here’s why.

First I new something had to happen and happen fast. I was in favor of giving the people the money rather than the fat cats. $1,000,000 per person in America would settle everything within 24hours, but that would be too mush like right and cost less money, something like $307,000,000 vs. $750,000,000,000 with better results but that could not happen even though socialism is socialism no matter who gets it.

Next I said create community banks to dole out the money rather than give the money to the fat cats because community banks would work directly with the bailout program without golden parachutes and investors and you wouldn’t be rewarding the people whose greed put us in this fix in the first place.
Community banks would lone money for homes, cars, inventory, and cash flow for the movement of the infrastructure following the stimulus package coming from Obama that would put millions of people to work now.

Now these fat cats have horde the money, paid huge bonuses, and won’t lone anybody anything. Know one asked the party affiliation of the decision makers of the fat cat banks either did they, I’m sure they’re not democrats.

Giving more money to this same group would be foolish because they showed that they are not going to get up off on anything.

In order for Obama’s economic package to work he must start over with everything including the Banks. Oh, and by the way, for the auto industry, know one asked them what they are going to do about keeping jobs here in America instead of investing abroad. So what if you make a better car, who can buy it if the jobs are gone.

Hey Obama, go to a flat tax, lift the cap off of social security, raise the minimum wage to $14.00 per/hr. for industry employing over 25 people, extend unemployment benefits too 18 months, and put huge tariff on imports to level the playing field on our goods vs. foreign then sit back and watch the movement.

CONGRADULATIONS

Congratulations President-elect Barack Obama.

The primary and national campaign was long and successful and like I said, I had to exhale.
I’d never been evolved like I have for a presidential election. Now it’s time to get back to the business about business.

America

I want to talk about America for a moment. I think this is going to be my last post until after this historic election. I think with four days to go, for me it’s time to be quiet, pause and think about America and what an American is.

Americans are unique because we’re the only Nation without a true ethnic group, no DNA to say you’re an American. You’ll find with other Nations that their nationality is defined. German DNA in Germany, Italian DNA in Italy, Asian DNA in the Far East but there is no such thing as a DNA for Americans. Why, because America came to being with an idea. Our Nation is an idea in the works and our Nation has changed her idea through the years and will continue to change herself for years to come.

For far too many of those years the idea of America was defined by old white men. These men looked out for their own interest as well this idea and made rules to protect themselves from each other so the idea had a good chance to work.
These rules had to be amended from time to time because these white men found loop holes in them. They found out who ever they elected to lead them had control of the idea so they made amendments that who ever they elected had control over the idea rather then control of the idea. This idea and the men who were entrusted to oversee the idea didn’t care whom or at who’s expense got in the way of the idea and made life unbearable for anyone who didn’t agree or got in the way of its progress. Consequently the Natives who were already here were slaughtered damn near too extinction.

Progress was escalating rapidly and labor was at a premium and under manned so the white men in charge of the idea decided to import labor. They decided to exploit a people they did not understand from a land far away declaring them sub-human. They sold them like cattle to each other and had the power of life and death over them. They humiliated and degraded them.
One of these white men said enough, not this time nor on my watch and went to war against other white men who were in love with the present idea. America was divided on ideas and many white men said they’d rather die then change, rules are rules but this one white man said no, we’re going to change and also change the rules because it will be better for the idea, or we’ll fight and die, so fight and die they did. Over time the white man for change won the war. Men and women affected by this change gathered at churches New Years Eve that year of 1862 because at midnight 1863 change from the war became law and a new idea for this Nation changed the course of her history.

For many years now Americans that still do not want the change made by that white man have been fighting a quiet war with rules they could make without the leader over of the idea in control. Loop holes in the law kept separation and continue dominance. This dominance was handed down through the years because of ignorance and fear but time and education has slowed this ideology down but one thing has not changed and that is who ever leads over the idea owns the idea and has power to change the direction of the idea.

If we are all Americans then the protection of her idea we all have at heart. (Freedom) This idea of the founding fathers have been tested through the years and the way America is growing for everyone, her idea can not just be protected and owned by old white men. This dwarfs the best to lead over the idea if the pool of leaders can only come from old white men. Like yesterday, enough, not this time. There is no DNA claiming you an American. Anyone here can join her club and if you were born here you can lead over her idea, the rules are in place and have been for over two hundred and thirty three years.

Where will you be at 11:00 pm. November 4, 2008? Will you be gathering the way it was back in 1863 at midnight. Will you be waiting to witness history in real time? Will you look back at history and remember? Will you cry or curse? For me, I’m going to thank God for letting me play a small part in this change of history and for being born at the time I was in order to feel the impact like only I and others of my time can only feel. I’m going to cherish everything I’ve ever done that got me to witness such an hour, then I’m going to exhale and get back to the business of business being part of the idea with larger inspired hope for America, if she’s changed.

Can’t vote for a black man?

Can you feel it in the air, is it on your mind within five minutes after waking up, are you wondering or battling, are you looking for someone or some group to identify with? Which of these are you? I’m talking about the 2008 Presidential election between a Black and White man.

In my opinion, this battle is a real concern for white’s, especially in the demographics of baby boomers and older. This demographic holds the history of this Nation’s race policies from it’s conception. This group is and are the direct descendents of legally owing another human being and being owned by another human being … Imagine this.

You’re at home, you’ve just had a productive day at work, the children are enjoying childhood and you wife is having a hard time removing the look of happiness from her face that was reviling her eagerness to have you back at home with her. You begin to settle in when you here an eruption from the calm in the neighborhood. Your neighbors are yelling at someone, children are crying and women are screaming; now you’ve got to investigate.
...You go outside and see men of another race storming the neighborhood door to door snatching families out of their homes tying them up and separating the men, women and children. The men that were fighting back against this unfriendly race were beaten mercilessly. They were being clubbed, stabbed, and shot with a weapon you’ve never seen. You being the head of state raced to these villains pleading for this violence to stop when you too were clubbed and in your semi-conscious saw your family being man handled, and your children mistreated. Co-operation was the only way to survive.
...You were marched miles away from home and your head stayed in perpetual motion searching for your wife and children. For days you marched with no food, only water and when you tried to speak to these Mirada’s you were beaten once again. Finally you arrive at the Ocean and saw these ships. You saw hundreds and hundreds of your people struggling to free themselves from these chains in order to avoid going too and upon these ships ripping hands, arms, and feet from their limbs too escape and get back were ever home was.
...On the ships you were packed like bags of grain on top of and next to each other in its bow. It was hot, no air circulation, no were to relieve yourself of bodily functions, so you did this act on each other. You constantly wondered about your wife and children. This pale race of men would force feed you if you tried to starve yourself to death rather then continue living like this. They’d put this mush of food on mechanical steel tongues then you were to open your mouth and they’d open the tongues so the food would slide in. If you didn’t open up they forced the tongues into your mouth by busting out your teeth sticking the tongues into your throat then opening them up so the food would slide directly into your belly.
...Many days later, too many to count, you arrive at a new land. Many of your people on the ship with you died chained to one another while on the long voyage.
Next you were put on display and prodded like cattle by this strange race. Your women were handled the same way as well, likewise the children. For some reason this race of people ruled over you, they stripped you of your name, beat you, tortured you, lynched you, and over the years you were forced upon your women to breed with them, no love and no knowledge of who they were or where they were from just breed no matter how young or old, or die.
You watched your women and daughters being used and raped daily. They were taken from your bed and their rooms, raped in front of you and given back sometimes days later just to humiliate you. This race use them this way to teach you just how powerful they are over your life and how they could kill you or her if so desired so you better co-operate and go along with the program. You and other men like you were beaten and lynched for fun and pleasure or just to pass the time. They had the power of life or death over you, then one day it stopped.
...Some law was passed so these rulers couldn’t rule you anymore. This race of men still broke the law with brutality and got away with it, but you fought on and through the years this brutality slowed down but equality and respect is not quite there yet which brings me to today.

You see, I know this pass and so do a lot of people like me because we lived it, I’m a Boomer, I remember segregation and institutional racism but my children and younger don’t know or lived this pass. I know white people my age and older and white’s from bigoted families that hand down that ugly pass will never get into their ignorant heads that people are people and want to peruse basic needs for their families with the freedom this nation says it’s based upon, and they don’t want to be beneath any other race or culture. These bigots are the problem from making this Nation greater than it can imagine but try telling them that. This ideology holds us back so we all loose. As Americans we all have a stake in this land, too her cause, in her strength, about her well being and for her prosperity. Not just white people.

Do you feel it in the air, is it on your mind within five minutes after waking up, keep wondering or battling, are you looking for someone or some group to identify with? Which of these are you, because you know Obama’s the right and only rational choice this time, don’t you, or is it, you can’t vote for a black man because?

The Bailout or Rescue

A short note on how to save our nation’s financial network and economy. Forget the seven hundred billion dollars ($700,000,000,000.00). The population of America is three hundred four million (304,000,000). I suggest everyone receive one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) this equals three hundred four million dollars ($304,000,000.00). Why not if we’re entertaining the thought of socialism for fat cats, why not us. I’ll guarantee you that the economy will sore and the financial network along with Wall Street will be fine. This would save the tax payers six hundred ninety nine billion six hundred ninety six million dollars
($699,696,000,000.00).

The banks are holding this nation hostage unless they get what they want. They want the Government to buy the worthless paper they hold or they’ll stop doing business. Has the government been in the urban area lately? If they let these houses sit without upkeep, tax payers will lose because these houses will have to be destroyed and many need to be already. Nobody is going to move in those areas again unless they’re leveled.

I’ve said before that something had to be done drastic and now, well see the above, it’s cost effective, drastic, can be done now and will be a guaranteed success without question. This sounds silly doesn’t it, and so does $700,000,000,000.00 with a less than 50/50 chance return on investment for me but a 100% return on investment for fat cats. It’s I don’t know when for me but now for the fat cats. It’s you can loose for me but win, win for fat cats. I might even be able to keep my retirement if they get the money, but they keep money, jobs, cars, boats, homes, and company perks.

Let the predators fail like any other business that ignores good business practices and watch new transparent but regulated finance / investment firms stem from those failures and flourish. Those investment firms are not monopolies. Set up a bureau to help transfer rather than bail out to firms willing to be transparent now until new laws are made. Keep the government roll in this to help the victims not the predators. Investigate firms who made bad loans for greed and exploited the poor and ignorant. We understand we’ve got to help the poor and underprivileged but not exploit them with certain failure; fat cats should be responsible for their practices and bad loans should be restructured so people can keep their homes.

McCain and Obama and Town Hall Meetings?

I’ve started giving some thought about the town hall meetings McCain kept shoving down Obama’s throat. I keep thinking how McCain was challenging Obama, damn near daring him. I keep seeing the smirk on McCain’s face as he sarcastically belittles Obama for refusing his invitation. Well McCain be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.

I watched the first of these two guy’s debate and saw something I didn’t think I’d see but it hit me in the face. McCain couldn’t look at Obama. I’m no way saying I’m the only one who saw this because others have talk about it, but since I blog I thought I’d give my slanted opinion about it.

First, McCain can’t look at Obama, what would he do at town halls? At the debate the lights were turned down so you couldn’t see the audience, you could only see the moderator and each other. The moderator would ask McCain a question that was directed to Obama and several times he, the moderator asked McCain to direct his answer to Obama and not him, but McCain didn’t or couldn’t. When Obama was asked to do the same, he did and continued to do it the rest of the night. YOUR PRESIDENT MUST LOOK PEOPLE IN THE EYE OR THEY’LL APPEAR WEAK AND INTEMADATED.

So this is what hit me in the face. Being a black man I’ve experience dabs of racism that’s so common that it’s not even worth thinking or talking about. One of the dabs is many white people ignore black people. We don’t exist. This kind of white person walks all over us. If I’m engaged in a conversation with a white person and this type of white person comes up, they talk to the person I’m talking too interrupting our conversation, not to ask a quick thought and go, or to add to the conversation, but to pull that person away from me and divert their attention toward them as if I wasn’t there.

I’ve been on elevators and watched white people share thought with other white people until they’ve reached their selected floors leaving me and another white person on the elevator. I’ve watch this kind of white person turn and stare strait into the wall until my or their floor comes up. Sometime I try to continue the conversation they were having with the others but I may as well have been talking to myself or the wall.

I’ve asked this type of white person questions about something or other and they’ll answer the white person that may be standing next to me, and that white person never said anything to them.

I’ve asked this type of white person questions and they’re so busy, I’ve got to chase them back and fourth for the answer plus if a white person asks them something while I’m chasing them trying to get my answer, they stop to answer the white person and again they’re off and running as I continue trying to get mine.

I’ve been first in line with no cashier when that type of white worker comes up and says to the white person behind me, may I help you, as if I wasn’t there.
In other words, what McCain was doing to Obama had an ugly undertone too it.

What was McCain thinking? Did he think Obama wasn’t there? Did he want to ignore him? Could he dare think that a black man had no business being on the same stage with him; not to say challenge him or call him out about his policies, issues and his poor judgment on so many things pertaining to the Presidency they both are campaigning for?
Was McCain showing his age and the era he’s from as far as black men are concern? Was he thinking this is a joke and why is he involved? Is McCain an elitist? No, I think McCain is surprised and stunned. I think McCain’s life was passing in front of his eyes. I think McCain feels what Hillary and Bill felt.

Twentieth century politics is long gone. America is a few weeks from becoming a great nation again. For the people by the people is the drum beat. Honesty and integrity is the order of business. America is about to be global for all and not exploited by a few. The world will be a smaller place with opportunities galore for a nation of proud but united people once more. American’s again will be welcomed all over the world with open arms because of the leadership of one man … Barack Obama.

Get out and vote this November. This is the most important election ever. Our nation’s future and sovereignty depends on it. Vote Democratic.

Why the AIG Bail Out

Get these Republicans out. Get them out of here, and as soon as posible.

When banks and securities got deregulated here’s what happened. Real short, they got crazy, but let me make some since of this if I can type fast enough to stay ahead of my anger.

Banks gave good and bad loans (mortgages), far too many loans were made to people who they new had no way in hell to pay for them and still survive. The banks didn’t care because they sold these loans. They only kept these loans long enough to get rid of them. They bundled these loans and sold them to the deregulated investment firms. The investment firms turned these bundled loans into securities and sold them as investments. Who bought these loans?
Mean while the jobs kept being shipped out.

It got so good that banks were penalized for not making loans even though they knew so, so, so many were bad. Tough, they made the loans, and the loans got bundled and sold on the open market anyway. Freddy and Fannie got on the band wagon too; folks were getting phat, no let me say it better, they got filthy and disgustingly rich.
Mean while the jobs kept being shipped out.

China bought billions and billions of dollars of these securities as collateral in order to loan America money, Japan also. These nations asked how do we know if these securities are any good. This is where AIG came in, AIG insured them. AIG SECURED A BUNCH OF BAD LOANS THINKING ONLY A FEW WILL GO BAD.
Mean while the jobs kept being shipped out.

People began to default on these loans because THEIR JOBS KEPT BEING SHIPPED OUT. Foreclosure became the word of the day. The investment firms and banks had no cash. With no cash we still needed to borrow. AIG cried we ain’t got no money to back these loans. China said what’s up with this and what’s wrong with this picture. We ain’t giving you no more money, ya’ll are messing up our economy.

If we didn’t bail out AIG who secured these loan/securities China was gone. Our financial system was gone. Savings were gone. Retirement was gone. The dollar bill was gone. No money could be lent. The US would be on a cash and carry system.
Mean while the jobs kept being shipped out.

The Republicans are scrambling for a quick fix. They have completely destroyed the American financial system. They have stuck the dagger into our hearts and have twisted it. America is on her knees bleeding profusely. Wall Street have made off with the National Treasury. The Republicans are inept and can’t be trusted at all. The dollar is falling. Inflation is going to sore. Start the money presses.
Who will buy the phony money? Gas, food, and utility prices are going to go through the roof. This is called inflation or private taxation. Who cares if my money goes to the government or private industry inflation is a tax to me.

People will make a run on the banks to get their money and rid themselves of the dollar bill. The government must print money or all government entitlements will be shut down. Look what would have happened to Social Security if the Republicans had their way and the program was privatized … gone.
All this chaos, do something fast, we’ve got to keep McCain from losing this election by quadruple points. We wanted to dump this mess on Obama but it came too soon. The foreign investors involved in our economy are getting together to discuss shifting to a different currency other than the dollar. The world market is at risk.
Mean while the jobs kept being shipped out.

What will we do?
#1…Elect Obama and give democrats 60% majority in the house and senate. (60% kills filibusters)

#2…If a government bureau is going to buy the toxic loans for $0.25 on the dollar, adjust the loan holders to $0.25 on the dollar also. It will be absurd for the government to buy these loans at a huge discount and not give some relief to the loan holder by holding them to the old contract. They could still lose their homes to the government instead of a bank. (People want to keep their homes)

#3...Raise minimum wage drastically based on the number of employees and industry. Not across the board. (Middle class will spend money)

#4…Extend unemployment benefits to 18 weeks, (Helping middle class afford gas for travel when searching for a job which today takes up to a year or more.)

#5…Go to a flat tax, no deductions. Rich, poor, and middle class all pay the same percent.

#6…Lift the cap off Social Security. (As long as you earn, pay into the fund.) Social Security will be protected forever.

#7…Re-regulate the financial industry

#8…End all trade agreements.

#9… Put a tariff on import to level the playing field from markets with sweat shops, (Including our own businesses that jobbed over seas.)

#10…Meet with global investors to ashore them that the dollar will be strong.

#11…Entice manufacturing companies to come back or stay.

We’ve got to do something drastic; I mean really drastic, and do it now. The middle class again holds the entire burden of this load on their shoulders, (Government is financed by the middle class because we are the only group out of the three who pay taxes. The poor and rich do not.).

Eventually the jobs will come back. The wealthy will remain wealthy. Middle class will come back and our money and investments will be safe and everyone will play a part in the growth if we elect Barack Obama as President of the United States.

You see, Obama already has the support of the world. The world is waiting for him. The world is ready to work with him. The world doesn’t want to lose America, but the world is waiting for us to do our part.

You may not like me talking about the World in our mix but I hate to tell you, if the World is not involved in this global correction, America will be a third world nation, a nation on the take, a nation’s who’s only might is war and the bomb.
I’ve mention before; Obama will go down in history as the greatest President of all times.

McCain Part #2

First, I’m tired of this election process. It’s been close too two years now. This is much too much. You can love a candidate, then hate them and then love them again. As the days and events go by, so too do the reflections and mind set of the voters. Candidates hands are tied on many daily issues because they’re not in power so they’re damn if they do or don’t. Candidates have been away from their jobs and family’s courting American’s day after day. Nothing should take this long to be settled but since it has here we go.

McCain picks a woman as a running mate, a good speaker but … let me get back to this later.

As I’ve said before McCain will say and do anything to be elected President. He picks a woman and it looks like he’s hiding behind her skirt.
This decision was made from the hip. It was only made to try and secure the woman’s vote.
It had nothing to do with picking the best posible person who could succeed him in case something was to happen and country would be in good hands.
This pick was to win at all cost and is an example of political and social science at its best.

McCain wants the disgruntled Hillary supporters. He believes you can just put people into groups and they follow suit. (Women vote for women) Wrong.

He understands women turn out to vote more then men, they say. (Appease them with a woman to vote for) McCain has done nothing for women rights in 26 years in the senate, nothing.

Many women feel they’ve been oppressed by men. They’ve worked for less pay in the job market while doing the same job as men in far too many cases. McCain has voted to continue this policy as many times as it’s come up.

Many women must clean the home after work, cook, take care of the children, make all of the house runs to the cleaners, store, doctor, do the laundry, clean the house, help with homework with the kids, keep in shape in order to look like that trophy wife, be a sexual athlete, cater to all the needs of her man’s demands, be put over to the side at gatherings except when men want them when they’re on the prowl, etc.

Now we have a woman one breath away from the top of basically the most powerful and respected job on planet earth, the Presidency of the United States of America.
All of the concerns of women wanting their just do are only a heartbeat away resting on the shoulders of Palin, and we want women who many feel oppressed by men to vote on issues; Great choice McCain but the wrong women.
We ask women voters to forsake gender for the good and better of the issues. We ask them to shelve the closest and maybe last grasp they have of a woman gaining full executive power in their lifetime in order to vote for a black man.

Many women can care less if this vice-presidential candidate could write a check. They only believe that McCain because of age and health issues may not go full term and wham, we got it.

Let me tell you something, women are much more militant and rowdier then men when given the chance to come out in force; check out the all male strip clubs that some women frequent. They can and do some of anything to those male dancers, if a man tried to do those things to women in a similar club for men, they’d shut the club down, that’s why men are not allowed inside a women’s male strip club. Women in force are tough and unified. What’s done inside a strip club stays inside the strip club.
McCain believes women will rally around Palin because of the reasons I’ve stated above about him. He thinks this could get him over the top. He’s desperate and pulling out all the stops to obtain power even if it’s for a minute.

Palin’s selection was brilliant for McCain at the cost of this nation’s future. He’s getting the crowds; his campaign is receiving money, enthusiasm is high because he was sinking fast before her arrival. In other words, he’d rather hide behind a women’s skirt then lose an election.

Palin has scandals and the republican base is trying to squash them until after the election. She lies too, and is great at not answering questions but dancing around them like she’s still in a beauty pageant. McCain is exploiting her well. Hey when it comes to keeping power, money and fame, people will sell their mama, sister, and daughter if it’ll keep in the loop. Good lookin out McCain

Palin knows that if she admits to her bridge to nowhere lie, trooper-gate, and baby-gate (http://www.vanityfair.com ) (see time line on Palin’s pregnancy); it will be political death for the republicans. They also know she can say anything and can’t be attacked because she a women and sexism will show up.

Palin’s being exploited by the republicans. She’s the suicide bomber for them. She’s to lie, lie and attack Obama with reckless abandon, then get out the way if McCain is elected. Keep hiding McCain

Everyone knows that McCain is two faced and all over the place on everything. He can’t recognize himself. But does everyone know that a vote for McCain is like playing Russian roulette with your future, your children’s future, your children children’s future, and your freedom as you once new it. This includes your job, money, (savings) retirement, home, wages, constitutional rights (with supreme court appointments), a the police state, wars, lies, cover-ups, disregard for your opinion, etc.

So, McCain picks a woman as a running mate, a good speaker but … the honeymoon will be over for Palin if McCain is elected; she’ll be treated like that long lost relative that popped up and wore out their welcome, and he’ll run another good dictatorship won’t he … or will she?

It’s Obama or Curtains

I can’t hold back any more, this might get lengthy? I keep hearing businesses talk about all the reasons they are going out of business or the lack of business. They cry, it’s because of government, it’s because of insurance, it’s because of inflation, it’s because of policies, and it’s because of taxes, along with this and that. Wrong! It’s because of Customers plain and simple, customers. Who and where are the customers? They are the Middle Class and they‘re becoming extinct, which brings me to my point.

Here in America we have a social policy we call capitalism, so they tell us. I’ve learned that capitalism is a social system based on the recognition of individual rights including property rights in which all property is privately owned, and I do mean full, pure, uncontrolled unregulated individual rights.

Capitalism demands the best of every man. It leaves every man free to chose the work he or she likes to pursue or specialize in. It enables him or she to trade their product for the products of others and go as far down the road of achievement as their ability and ambition will carry them. Their success depends on the value of their work and those who recognize that value. When men and women are free to trade it’s a win, win for every field of endeavor plus it raises the standard of living for everyone taking part in it.

All that said brings me to this.

Here in America, we are not a capitalist system and never were. We’re a Mixed Economy, a mixture of capitalism, because we have a system of some freedoms and some controls with no principles or rules to define either. In other words at who’s freedoms and who’s and whom to control.
Stay with me now.
Slavery, Native Americans on reservations, women not being able vote, Blacks not being able to own property or even was property, KKK, Roe vs. Wade, Japanese Americans being seized in WW2, Black Wall Street in Okalahoma. It seems to me we have a system of freedom for the few and privilege but the control over those who are not.

A mixed economy system is unstable and has to repeal its controls or collapse into dictatorship. A mixed economy has no principles to define its policies, or its goals, or its laws or its principles in order to limit the power of its government. (Can you see we’ve got that going on right now?) No ones interest is safe, everyone’s interest are on the public auction block and anything goes for anyone who can get away with it. Look back at these last seven years of republican rule and I do mean rule.

This kind of system breaks a country into groups fighting one another. This system give us the resemblance of law and order but it only gives us chaos. It’s fueled by pressure groups, special interest and lobbies all seizing to control legislative power by ripping off some privileged special interest at one another’s expanse by the act of the government.

The only way this can stop is by compromise. We’ve got to compromise on everything. We’ve got to compromise on everything, material and intellectual so that no group steps over the line by demanding too much and topple the whole damn system. The only threat to this is an uncompromising person, group, or movement. THIS COMPROMISE IS CALLED CHANGE TODAY and this is what I believe Obama is trying to get across.

Today you see the republican political manipulators setting new conflicts such as ethnic minorities against majority, the young against the old, the left or right against the middle, women against men, even welfare recipients against self supporters. OBABA WANTS TO BREAK THIS UP PEOPLE. If he’s not elected, forget the middle class as we know it, which brings me to my next point.

The Middle Class is a nation’s heartbeat and lifeblood, its members are independent and this class of people feeds the rest of everything, it’s the energy source of an industrial economy and capitalism can not exist under any other kind of system. In other words without middle class, there is no America.
A mixed economy is not the destroyer of the rich. The rich ARE the destroyers in this kind of system. This kind of system destroys YOU the middle class. This kind of system is the republican’s platform. We middle class people must take back our government or we won’t have a government of the people, by the people, or for the people. Some of you have been duped once or twice already in you life thinking you were republicans because things got good for you. Some of you have no concept or belief in what I’m saying either. How do I know this? Because some of you were too foolish to evacuate from the path of the hurricanes this past week so if you’re foolish you’re foolish. If you want to be uninformed then you’ll be uninformed.

Installing Republicans back into power means you’re saying republicans have totally destroyed this nation but I believe only republicans have the knowledge too, and will to fix it. Ha! Ha! Ha! If you think like that.
Listen there will continue to be NO customers for businesses. Giving breaks or money to the rich hoping it will trickle down did not work because of the mixed economy and will never work for the middle class because the rich don’t have the middle class values in mind if they are republicans. They don’t understand the concept, ideology, needs or importance of the middle class. There is a lot of money in this nation and they want it all, and they want laws to make sure that they keep it all and that’s all that matters to them, this is not a game.

Obama is and wants change to get America back into some type of order. He wants people to understand service, and that we are our brother’s keeper, and if the playing field is unequal for anyone then it’s unequal for everyone. He wants businesses to get back customers and that means rebuilding the middle class. He wants people to have hands on government again. Barack Obama is more like you and I then you can imagine, he has a middle class agenda for this country, he’s a democrat, plus he’s the democrat nominee for President of the United States, he just happens to be black, like that’s important and if it is, grow up.

The Sub Prime Fiasco

You want to know some more about the Republicans, then check this out.

When the money was not coming back to the government fast enough, Greenspand began to play with the Federal Reserve.
Money wasn’t coming back because we were losing jobs to outsourcing. So, when less people work, fewer taxes come back to the government.

The first move for Greenspand was to make credit easier to get, so credit cards flooded the market. They sent credit cards to my pet. This put a bubble in the economy for awhile but the continued lose of jobs made the credit cards harder to pay off because the people had maxed them out.

His next great idea was to find out how people can pay off these credit cards so he made it easier to refinance your house. People began to use their house as an ATM machine. They paid off credit cards and bought frivolous things and re-maxed their credit cards again. Jobs continued to leave and people began to foreclose banks began to fail and big business began to go belly up.
Enron was the same thing, and the saving and loans were the same too.

Fanny Mea and Freddy Mac owned over 75% of the sub-prime loans and the profit from those loans went to share holders and China. You see China bought the bonds from those loans for money they lend to the USA. This fiasco has put havoc on the world market too.

Now your great, great grandchildren are $130,000 in dept. Every time Republicans get in power the quality of life for common people go down. If you don’t learn from your history you repeat it. Thanks Republicans.

So what do we do? Vote the other way. Bring honesty and integrity back to America. Get rid of the people in power now and let’s start over. Let the people get involved with gaining their government back. Wake up people and learn from your pass or are we just that ignorant. Aristotle or Plato said that the masses are incurably ignorant. Well lest see.

Democrats and Obama what the hell is wrong with you. How come you don’t throw any punches at the Republicans? Stop turning the other cheek and hit somebody in the face. The Republicans are lying through their teeth.

Tell them that Fanny Mea and Freddy Mac should be nationalized. Make it a Government department run by bureaucrats making 80 grand, so that when the bail out comes and the profits from it come back, the money will go back to the tax payers who bailed it out rather than the fat cats that make Millions.

Tell them that the $300,000 outfits Cindy McCain wears are ridiculous, and they call Obama elite.

Tell them that the plane Palin sold was not sold on ebay. It was sold at a lost to a privet firm. The plane was to transport prisoners because Alaska doesn’t have enough jails so they transport prisoners, so now that the plane is gone they transport prisoners at a higher expense.

Tell them that the money from the bridge to nowhere was kept by Palin and the bridge was not built, $27,000,000

Tell them that the money Palin gave to the Alaskans was to perpetuate her political career.

Tell them About McCain not supporting the GI bill he’s taking claim for.

Tell them about McCain’s constant backing of Bush.

Tell them that the war has been over and they are just occupying the nation and that you can’t win an occupation. Did you see the banner at their convention?

Find out if Palin had an affair with her husband’s business partner that the National Enquire can document, did she try to have her brother-in law fired and that she took earmarks in the tune of $750,000,000 over two years. She is the Queen of earmarks. Hell she wanted to secede from the United States.

McCain’s last ads are nothing but lies. He’s stealing the change motto can’t you see this. Danm, run some ads, challenge them, make them look like the desperate liars that they are. Time is running out.

Presidential Conventions

Hi again, I’ve been gone awhile. There was so much going on that I was overwhelmed to write.

I got the chance to go to the National Democratic Convention in Denver. What an exciting event and Denver is a grand city. The city was a buzz with the ticket of Obama/Biden. Downtown was full of people from every ethnic group from sun up to sun down. I don’t understand how this race is considered close but they say it is. Oh, the 84,000 people inside Invesco (Mile High Stadium), they forgot to add the other 15,000+ outside the stadium lessoning to the speakers, music and cheers coming from inside the stadium because of the sound system. Togetherness was everywhere.

I watched the Republican’s Convention. It was not sold out, the hall was small and empty, 90% of the people were white, the men were all in suites (weird), very, very few young people, and the first big decision McCain was suppose to and was in trusted to make was for vice president, he didn’t, someone made it for him and that someone will run this Country if he is elected president plus their choice was a political tactic and not the best for this Nation if anything was to happen to him.

I’m not going to say too much because I don’t want to but if half of you and according to the polls it’s about half see McCain as the best choice for America and you’re not rich then I feel for you. I feel for you because you have some very deep and hidden issues. I feel this group is looking extremely hard to find some type of rationality to vote for McCain in order to hide a bigger problem if you’re not a true Republican. This group is Praying for some small opening to support his ticket. Look people this Country is in shambles, do you really want to keep this group in power? I truly believe you don’t, so don’t. Don’t fall for the lies. McCain will not be running this Nation, the people running it now will be.

If you are a woman and see McCain as an alternative because of your love or militancy for Hillary even though she lost by the laws of our system but you want those laws stretched or altered for you, then I feel for you too. You’re not a Democrat for one; Obama’s platform mirrors hers and McCain’s doesn’t come close, so shame on you for being a sore loser when the party is trying to come together or is it that you have some very deep and hidden issues also.

If you prescribe to the lies coming from the Republicans and you know we need a person in the White House that’s for the people and labor for a change and not big money or big business, then you better get ready to lose you house, business, investments, and family next, because if you lose those things I can bet money that your family will break up because money is the number one hardship on a relationship and if you don’t believe me try living without money, house, car, job, health care, lights, gas and change in diet and see how much love will be waiting for you from your family.

The Democrats need the White House and control of the Senate now. The Republican’s have had their time and blew it (Look at the United States today in its entirety). Let me gives some examples that most of you don’t know. I said I didn’t want to but here I go.

McCain on issue after issue from raising the minimum wage, to un-fair trade treaties, to banning pay discrimination based on sex, to leveling the playing field between workers and bosses in organizing and bargaining, McCain has voted wrong. 184 times out of 219 he was in disagreement with these issues and zero on workers rights. So if you work look out if you have concerns in the work place. There is no doubt he’ll continue the policies of anti-workers set by he and Bush.
With trade, your job will be gone. McCain’s campaign sent out a release supporting the U.S/ Colombia Free Trade Agreement despite Colombia’s murderous record against unionists and union leaders. More than 2,500 were assassinated over the last two decades. (His watch)
When McCain was in Colombia and Mexico don’t forget he reiterated his support for FTA, NAFTA and CAFTA
As for workers rights, the only time McCain hasn’t voted against workers rights is when he wasn’t there.

Health Care, listen to this. McCain would dump the present provisions which let businesses deduct the costs of paying health insurance premiums for their workers as a business expense, so if the company continues to pay the premiums the payment would be counted as income to each worker and taxed. I could go on but why.

McCain wants to privatize Social Security and give it to the stock market. Have you watched the stock market the last few years? If the Republicans hadn’t borrowed from it, it would be find.

I didn’t leave out Obama, but when dealing with workers rights the Republicans filibustered successfully 86 times against him. Some of these bills were to deal with the right for workers to sue for unfair labor practices, pay and sexual discrimination.

He’s walked picket lines with workers as a presidential candidate.

Another Obama bill curbed but not totally halted the influence of lobbyist, limiting their gifts to lawmakers and aides while forcing more specific disclosure of whom they saw, when, why, and how much they spent.

He led the fight for overtime in Illinois when Bush was trying to take it away from people with high school diplomas or military training.

He pushed and chaired legislation establishing a statewide healthcare commission that gathered data from everyone they could to draft a statewide comprehensive universal health care plan which is still being reviewed and most likely to pass.

He wants to take the cap off Social Security. Doing this would let the big money people pay the same percentages as lower income people and would stabilize the program.

Obama has you and me in mind but he needs 60% in the house and senate to crush filibusters. Don’t be fooled people. This time we need the Democrats. We need Obama/Biden, (the nominees). Give them the 60% along with the Presidency and Vice Presidency and let them work for us up, instead of them down.

McCain

Have you ever looked at McCain’s body language? Have you ever looked at him closely? Have you ever listen to him? If you have then you can’t vote him.

McCain is just too old, too forgetful, too flip floppy, too rude, too out of touch, too non-original, and too power hungry. Let me explain.

McCain is hinting that he’ll be a one term president. He’s said this more then once but he lies and says it’s not true. Look, even McCain knows he’s too old and lacks the energy and stamina it takes to hold the office of President of the United States at all let alone for eight (8) years.

McCain forgets and can’t get through his prepared statements. This is a sign of age. In the world of business what you say or don’t say counts, it’s not what you think or meant to say. If you say something and then write something else thinking you said what you wrote, it can cause problems and raise questions about your competency. McCain miss-speaks a lot. It’s a sign of not being prepared or is it that he’s just too old to deliver because his mind has slowed down.

McCain changes his position and policies with the wind. The media won’t bash him about it like they do Obama. Even if Obama refines a statement to make it clearer the media and McClain claims he flip flopped. Even the media and McCain’s backers say McCain wouldn’t recognize himself from his past, so what does McCain stand for? Oh I know, he stands for getting elected with lies, deceit, manipulation, confusion, and saying what he must to trick the American public. McCain, his people and the media said so and that kind of campaigning works. Forget the issues. If it does work, then it’s a sad statement about the intellect of the people of this country.

McCain never walks with anybody. He’s so rude. He’s always many paces ahead of who’s ever with him. Have you ever seen him hold his arm out for his wife to let her proceed before him like a gentleman? It was true with Romney too, he didn’t walk with him he walked in front of him three paces. He even was reading his prepared notes as he held the hand of that religious figure a few weeks back. He cuts people off when they speak. He comes just short of snapping his fingers when he wants your attention. He pretty much demands you recognize his power and if you don’t, look out.

McCain is so out of touch that he offered his wife to participate in a wet tee shirt, bare boobs, make love to a banana contest. He’s not computer literate and he can only relate to situations that most people don’t know about because they weren’t born.

McCain as President will only be the figure head. He’s not original. He’s going to re-delegate everything already in place from the administration that has damn near killed off America. All that will be needed is to put his name plate on the desk and he get out of the way of the existing administration.

McCain only wants this job because he wants to one up his Dad and some other relative that were Admirals in the Navy, because he was a prisoner of war and feels slighted. McCain also feels that he’s the anointed one. He’s craving absolute power over the world, so nations beware and our sons and daughters, good luck on your tour after tour after tour.
Forget about your home, job, health care, social security, bank account, education for your children, women rights and G.I’s, just to name a few, and prepare yourself for wars, run on banks, bankruptcies and selling off of major multi-national USA corporations, outsourced jobs, the end of the dollar bill, and the continued extinction of the middle class or, you can vote for Obama who’ll bust his ass trying to change this prophecy.

Believe Those Polls If You Want To, But

Look the polls are slanted. They’re slanted because they need to keep this presidential race for the white house interesting in order to sale advertisement and news papers. All national cable news and print media have gotten a pretty good spike in advertising sales because of the attraction and celebrity of Barack Obama. The World has attached itself to Obama and his popularity. The World has embraced him and his policies for World peace. Nations with very little media know about him and the history he’s about to make. Countries want and need the foreign politics of America to change in order for the Nations to co-exist. They listen and prey that Obama wins our election for president of the United States of America but our polls say what?
Do you really want me to believe that the majority of people at home don’t feel the same way as the majority of people and leaders all over the World believe about this incredible candidate? Do you really want me to believe that more then half the people who’ve lose their homes, jobs, cars, pets, dignity, savings, retirement, businesses, banks closing, icon businesses being sold to foreign interest, mounting national dept, the auto industry bankrupt, un-ending war, shrinking dollar, schools that don’t educate for the global market, hospitalization, crumbling infrastructure of roads and bridges, high energy cost at home and at the gas pump and unaffordable food don’t want this guy,(Obama) that they haven’t made up their minds. Get real.

How do these polls work? Do they poll the black or brown vote that has jumped 75% for Obama since the primary? Do they count the democratic vote that is twice that of the republican vote? Are there any Hillary votes in there? Are they polling the people whom I mention above? Are they polling newly registered voters, because if they are, then we’re sick as a Nation with numbers like that for Obama?

We know McCain can’t do a damn thing. His own campaign said that he doesn’t speak for his own campaign. Is this going to be his presidency? This Man is not original, hot headed, disrespectful, flip floppy, old with health issues, out of touch, and his time has gone by. What can he do or will do? He only wants his mark on history in order to one up his military father and family, it’s obvious and a mistake if America elects him.

The Democratic are suppose to be a shoe in this election but we have just one last hurdle to cross….. Race.

Barack Obama will be the greatest President of all times

That’s right; Barack Obama will be the greatest President of all times. In this Nation’s worst time in history since the depression Barack Obama will change and put this country back on track to prosperity in his first term. Why and How?

Let’s go through a little economics 101. In order to create wealth in a community the dollar has to pass hands many times before it gets back to the bank. The more times that dollar bill passes through the community, the better for the community. Keep that in mind.

Right now too many of our American dollars leave this country without passing through enough hands. China buys 26% of our debt, (Mainly the war) Japan buys 28% on other things, that’s 54% of our dollar gone. Oil gets another 15% plus. That’s 69% of our dollar gone. Outsourcing gets a percentage too, so you do the math. More then 75% of our dollar is gone and not passing through enough hands here. This is disaster. Our people are losing their homes, cars, pets, jobs, manufacturing is gone and the companies left are on the verge of bankruptcy, GM to name a big one. Banks are failing, and Icon companies are being sold to outsiders (Budweiser), Recession my a_s, (foot), it’s more like a Depression if you ask the middle class.

Now back to Obama.

Obama is going to end this war in Iraq. That will pull billions of dollars back home, about 10 billion a month. The dollar will be stronger and gas prices will come down. Obama will not reward businesses that outsource but give businesses incentive that keep jobs here. This will cause other business to come back bringing jobs. (I wish He’d declare companies that outsource foreign, and put a tariff on their goods and service making it more attractive to manufacture a home.) (Money changing hands here, middle class growing) China or Japan will not call in the debt because they need our middle class to buy all of their trinkets. Obama doesn’t want to use food for alternative fuel either, (ethanol) he wants to use other bio- degradable sources like weeds (cellulous). (Food prices will come down, that’s more money here.) Obama will create a new green industry identifying and inventing new jobs here for global climate control. (Money staying at home and passing hands). Get the picture. The more money staying home and not going out creates wealth.

The economy can turn around drastically for the better in his first term and turning around this economy from a depression quickly will qualify Barack Obama as the greatest President of all times before he fixes everything else here at home and changes our image around the world.

The Fade Away Jumper

I’d like to tell a story about a chapter in my childhood pertaining to my first experience in organized basketball.
I played a lot of playground basketball. My guys would go from playground to playground for a game, but this one time we tried playing organized basketball for the recreation teem league for the first time. We played well, in fact we played better then expected.

My team by far wasn’t great but we grew up together and new each other’s ways and game. There were the Clark boys, two great athletes Ron a Larry. We had our big man, let’s call him Bumps because he had acne very, very bad. There was me, Sleepy, I have bedroom eyes, and Bill, the Senator. We called him the Senator because he was an apple polisher if you ever saw one. He was an Eddie Haskell replica from “Leave It To Beaver.”

Larry was a power forward/center, Ron was a point and shooting guard, Bumps was a power forward/center and me, I was a shooting guard/center. I played center because even at 5’8” tall, I could grab the rim and dunk a tennis ball. It was weird but I could play the spot. I’d steal the ball if a big man put it on the floor, and I could block out well, get run over and fouled with big men going over the top of me. The Senator, well the Senator would shoot the ball. When he had the ball, no matter where he was on the floor he’d shot it, but he’d shoot a fade away jumper. A “Fade Away Jumper” is a shot when the shooter shoot’s the ball jumping up and backwards before letting the shot go. Bill always shot a “Fade Away Jumper”. We tried to tell him, “just go up with the shot you idiot, you don’t have to fade away all the time you shoot a jumper especially when no one is guarding you, Geeez.” Bill would try this at times but he said it was awkward so he’d just fade away. He’d look stupid fading away and no body guarding him.

Well, as I said, we did pretty good. We were tied for first place with a very good team that we hadn’t played with one game to go and it was against them. The winner went to the playoffs.

In this big game, it was tight. Skilled against unskilled but we played our hearts out. But now the rest of the story.

16 seconds remained in a tied game; we had time out and the ball. The play was to get as close too the basket as posible for the easiest shot posible before time ran out, but by all means, get a shot off. Not too bad for us you’d think. The worst case scenario was overtime with this great, great team, real simple right.

Well, we had the full court to go. I take the ball out and pass it to Ron. Their full court press was on and it was awesome. Ron was smothered immediately but got the ball back to me. I dribble three times and was smothered too but got the ball back to Ron. Ron got across half court and got the ball back to me with 5 seconds left on the clock. I look for Bumps but couldn’t see him. I looked for Larry but couldn’t see him. I looked for Ron and saw him racing toward the basket but I had no passing lane. I needed to shoot the ball and that’s when I saw Bill, he was open but further away from the basket then me but I had no shot and no choice. I bounced passed the ball across the court to Bill. Bill got it and went up with a defender in his face, this defender’s arms were stretched out and waving, but when Bill (the Senator) went up, and guess what, he was fading away. He was leaning back at about a 45 degree angle and his defender was leaning forward toward him desperately trying to block that shot at a 45 degree angle too but Bill got the shot off. I watched the ball rise and looked for the ref to see if there was a foul. The defenders guarding me turned and watched the ball’s flight with obvious looks of pain on their faces. Their coach must have told them, “No shot! No shot!” I looked at Bill as he landed on his feet stumbling from his jumper and stepping backwards in order not to fall and his defender was stumbling forward like wise. Bumps came into my view and was charging toward the basket as the ball crested at its arch and was on it’s descent down. The Clark’s were just standing with their eyes glued to the shot. Time was out and it also seemed as if it stood still until, ------- swish with a rip right though the net. Touché, game over, we win, We Win! Bill now was damn near moon walking with one fist up shaking it chanting “Chee, Wayloo Wayloo, Chee.”
The look of discuss on the faces of the super stars was priceless, The look of joy on the Senator’s face was also priceless. The look on the faces of the people in the gym looked as if they’d just witnessed the most fantastic “Fade Away Jumper” they’ve ever seen in their lives, and you know something, they did.

You Pundits Are Wrong

First, congratulations Barack Obama. I wish the Pundits would stop selling news papers. They’re now dissecting the map for electoral votes between the two Presidential candidates. Now, let me give you my two cents worth.

I’ve heard the media say between Hillary and Obama on issues they’re about the same, that it’s basically a popularity contest, you pick’em. I’ve heard this between the two candidates themselves. Well if Hillary’s 18 million votes were about issues and Obama’s issues were about the same as hers, what makes the Pundits think that Hillary’s voters will flee to McClain when his issues are out of touch with the main stream America and our Party’s? And who says McCain’s supporters are signed and sealed in blood? To me, if the issues are close between Hillary and Obama, dahh!

Is what I’m reading is that Hillary’s voters are so racist that they can’t vote for a black man to end the War? Is what I’m hearing is that Hillary’s voters are so distraught and militant that they will take this country down the tubes by voting for McCain or not voting at all and business as usual even though she lost fare and square so let’s just snuff out health care for all? Is what I’m saying is that Hillary’s voters really don’t have the same issues of the Obama’s campaign since she lost and too hell with the Economy, Judges, Middle Class, Better education for all, Ending rewards for the fat cats, National Image, New foreign policy, Outsourcing, Obama and his campaign? Well I don’t think so.

The Republicans have ruined this country. Obama’s campaign issues almost mirrors those of Hillary’s. Obama won fairly and the Democratic Party recognizes he has the answers and the direction for this country and the world, and so does millions of Americans on both sides of the isle. Education

I want to talk about a school teacher named Mrs. Thompson. Mrs. Thompson had told her children a lie. She didn’t believe she could lie to her children, but she did. So now let me explain the story.

Mrs. Thompson was an educator, a teacher and in her sixth grade class her students were pretty bright, she loved them all the same and she wanted all of them to succeed. She got good response from her students; all of them except one. For the sake of this story let’s call him Greg.

In her class Greg wasn’t clean. He came to school all ruffled, disturb the class a lot, he smelled and needed a bath, he wouldn’t have his assignments, he wouldn’t sit up strait in his seat, and he didn’t care too much about anything that was going on. So Mrs. Thompson decided to do some research and look into what other teachers said about Greg before she got him.

She looked at the first grade teacher’s analyses of Greg and saw she’d written that Greg was a nice guy, a very nice little guy, who got along with the other students, they enjoyed playing with him, it seemed he was bright, he was always neat and clean, and on time.
Then she looked at what the second grade teacher said about Greg and she said similar; that he was attentive, that he cared about other students, and it appeared he’d really try to understand what she was trying to teach and get across to her class.
Next she looked at the third grade teacher’s evaluation of Greg. She said he was slow, he didn’t pay to much attention in class, and that his mother had a terminal disease.
She continued to the fourth grade teacher for her comments, and she said Greg really didn’t care about school now that his mother has died, he didn’t care about his assignments, he was living with his dad, He didn’t care how he acted or what he said or if he said anything at all. She also suggested that if we didn’t find a way to reach him he was going to have some huge, huge issues later in life.
Finally she reviewed what the fifth grade teacher had to say. She said that Greg was a very troubled and problem child and was constantly undermining what she was trying to get across to the other students and that he was a very troubled young man.
So now Mrs. Thompson has him in the sixth grade.

Well, the holidays were near and it was the gift giving season so the students decided to give Mrs. Thompson a gift. The gifts were wrapped with beautiful paper and colorful ribbons but the one that Greg gave her was carelessly thrown in a brown paper bag. No attention was applied to wrap the gift at all. So when Mrs. Thompson began to open the gifts she opened Greg’s first. When she picked up the brown paper bag the children began to laugh, snicker and make remarks, but Mrs. Thompson opened it with kindness because she loved all of her children the same. She handled it just like she would have handled some of the more detailed wrappings. Inside the bag was an old rime stone bracelet with a number of rime stones missing and a half a bottle of perfume. So Mrs. Thompson put on that old rime stone bracelet and dabbed some of the perfume on each wrist and told Greg how wonderful and thoughtful a gift it was and he began to smile. She went through the other gifts. Soon she began to notice something. She noticed that Greg began to pay more attention in class. He began to do and return his homework. He was not so aloof in class and wasn’t disturbing the class as much and he began to be more attentive.
Greg passed to the next grade where he began to exile in his studies and soon graduated. In a few years Mrs. Thompson got a letter from Greg saying he was doing well in high school, and met a lot of teachers but she was by far the best teacher he ever had.
A few years latter she got another letter from Greg saying he’d graduated third in his class and even though he had graduated third in his class she was still by far the best teacher he ever had. A few years went by and Mrs. Thompson received another letter from Greg saying in collage he got his bachelors degree with honors being tops in his class and even though he’d gotten those honors and was tops in his class he reminded her that she was still the best teacher he ever had. A few years later she got another letter from Greg but this time the letter came with Greg’s first name, his last name and the title M.D. Greg had become a Medical Doctor and even in that letter he told Mrs. Thompson that she was the best teacher he ever had. Again Greg sent another letter to Mrs. Thompson saying he was going to be married and that his dad had died a few years back, and that he would love for her to come and sit where his dad would have sat for his wedding. She wrote him back and said she’d be honored.

When she went to the wedding to take that seat she put on that rime stone bracelet that had the missing rime stones, and she dabbed herself with that perfume that came with it. When she got there Greg saw and told her she smelled just like his mother before she passed away.
Mrs. Thompson sat proudly through the Marriage ceremonies when Greg came up to her and said, Thanks for coming and spending time with me, you know you were the best teacher I ever had making sure I learned and stuff. And Mrs. Thompson told Greg, No Greg, thank you for showing me to stop teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic and start teaching children. All those years I’d lied saying I loved all my children the same but by far you were my pet. Thank you Greg, thank you so much, I thank you for showing me how to teach.

Election 2008

Indiana and North Carolina probably bought this democratic campaign to an end in reality, but the Clintons have other ideas. So, let’s talk about this.

The only reason the Clintons will stay in this race is because they can’t believe they lose. As long as she stays in, she freezes Obama from campaigning against McCain. The Media keeps suggesting that Obama must come out more with concrete substance. He can’t, why? Why should Obama give or do more only to have the Clintons tear it down and not McCain. Why should he become more damaged then what he’s already experienced by her and she shouldn’t be in the race anymore. If what he says keeps him in the lead and she won’t get out, why change. Can’t the Democratic Party see this? Why are they afraid of the Clinton’s? If she’s gone then he can campaign. He doesn’t have to do too much in order to get the nomination because she’s too far behind. This is called strategy; if she’s gone then his strategy changes.
She really wants to keep Obama from winning so she can run in 2012 and her strategy is this. Stay in the race for as long as she can. If the race continues too the convention then there will only be two months for the party to heel. When McCain brings up the bulls--t again about Obama he won’t have enough time to recover making it harder to be elected. His lose opens the doors for the Clinton’s in 2012.
The party needs at lease three weeks to heel. Obama needs a week to rest. The party needs to go into the convention way ahead in the polls over McCain so all of the old mess about Obama has a chance to come and go by the election. The super delegates not coming out now are doing a huge disservice to the party. I didn’t know the super delegates and the heads of the party were so ignorant and arrogant.

Let’s look at the senior vote for the Clinton’s. Voters over 65 voted for the Clinton’s 70%. Here’s why? This is the group that was forced to move over for the blacks, plus they were heavily evolved in the results or lack of results in civil rights (Rev. Wright). This group was 49 when the Clinton’s were in power. Life was good for that group if you were not affected by black people. For black people, there was no war. Money and jobs were everywhere.

Media felt so surprised that Obama got more voters then usual that made less
then 50k. Why? Because most people in this last campaign make less then that amount and it was more of them.

On gas relief; Most people fill their gas tanks once a week, this is average. The average tank is 20gal. $0.18 x 20 gallons = $3.60 savings per/tank, or 0ne gallon saved. Over 12wks. It = ½ tank of gas, but the lose of jobs and price gouging doesn’t out weigh the savings over 12wks.
Mr. Harold Ford, I disagree with you on this one. Your scenario say’s people fill up twice a week and have a 30gal. tanks. This means at 15 miles per/gal. the range is 450 miles per/tank x 2 =900 miles per/wk. or 180 miles per/day. This ain’t average this is more than average.
If you want to slow down our dependency on foreign oil and watch the prices fall like a rock in water right now, make the speed limit 55mph. again. Don’t give a speeding ticket for overages that will cause high prices in insurances until the speeding exceeds the state laws, but give a ticket for excessive energy use and make it expensive. This slows the demand nationally because high speeds use more gas. (We’ve done this before.)

Rev. Wright; The only reason this stopped getting reported was because the ratings dropped off. Media made this bigger than life and wore it out and had to be told buy letters and phone calls to cut it out already.
Stay quiet Obama until she gone, don’t give them nothing. We need to come together and go after McCain with issues not the Clinton’s.

The Economy Fix

If you want to fix the economy it’s not as hard as you think. If you want jobs to come back to America all you‘ve got to do is one thing, GIVE GRANTS.
End the war and give the money out in Grants.

Right now Grants are given primarily to the tax exempt crowd. (the 501c3)
Change it. Make Grants available for the private sector. What does this do?

For Housing it will go like this. Give Grants for people to buy foreclosed and tax reposition houses along with money to fix them up and bring them back to code. The Grant will be for long term ownership. This goes for existing home owners also who want to fix up their homes. Buying a house on a Grant eliminates a mortgage. Payments are made to the Grantor at low interest. Bringing the house up to code will create jobs in the building industry.

Give Grants too and for Business. It will go like this. After an approved business plan a Grant will be given for the implication of that plan at low interest stimulating the building, office and communication industries as well as the new entity.

What I’m trying to get at is, you can’t horde the money but if you give it away for innovation you get it back in taxes. (Payroll, income, sale, and business taxes.) People go to work and hire each other. This is what America is about, small business. By getting back to small business, jobs will be created that won’t be jobbed or out sourced out as fast. Fare competition will dictate the market and its prices, its wages, and the cost of everything. And industry will advertise and when they do, “Let Us Mind Your Business”

Bitter

Here we go again; we’ve got more nonsense in this campaign. Let me paraphrase; Obama says when folks are down and out and have nowhere to turn, their job and or their government has made them frustrated because they can’t seem to get an ear from anyone that could or will help them, or be sympathetic with concerns and relief that could ease some of their problems that were not their fault. As far as the government is concern, for too many years the people have had no voice. It seems that the government doesn’t care about them, so what do they do? They tend to cling to the things they feel that eases that pain, like religion or their guns etc. etc.

Obama said he missed spoke and that he was sorry. He clarified the statement but it won’t die.

Media reported that people were offended and that Obama was an elitist. Well here I go.

The people that were offended have never been down and out. They may think they’ve been but if you were offended then you haven’t been; here’s why.
When you’ve been down and out you turn to God more then you’ve ever have before in your life. I mean really down and out and if you are a believer. You understand that God can fix everything if you believe and have the faith of a mustard seed. Obama understands this so he said it, not well, but that’s what he was trying to say. When you’re down and out you pray long and hard, not that you don’t do this anyway, but when you’re down and out with no place to turn, you step it up a little and what do you do next? You do the things you enjoy to ease the pain. Some people pick up their hunting, or fishing patterns, and some people who don’t have guns or hunt, they pick up something they enjoy and do it more than they used too. It eases your mind from the trouble. Obama understands this so he said it, not well. How do I know this, because it’s Me.? The thing I do differently is I ride my ten speed. Not that I don’t ride my bike regularly, but I do it more because I love it so. Not that I don’t pray, but I do it more and give thanks more and I will never, never change that now that I’ve picked up the pace and have seen the results. I’m very thankful. Am I bitter, not any more? Was I, kind of? Did I understand Obama, yes? Why, because I was down and out and he was talking to me.

You folks that have not been there, stay offended, please. I pray you never have to change your position. I wouldn’t want to wish that on anybody, but let me tell you, your position will change if you were really down and out and had nowhere to turn, then you’d understand what Obama was trying to say.

Chuck Todd said today

I like Chuck Todd, the numbers man at MSNBC, but this time he stopped me in my tracks. I heard what I’m about to say before but this time I can’t let it go.

To paraphrase, Chuck said in order to validate Obama’s nomination; he has to impress white people more then he is. He needs the numbers of the white vote to be equal to the numbers he had in earlier primaries or the super-delegates may back off. This made me lose it.

I gathered this opinion as him saying; do better with the white vote or it could be too bad for Obama as far as super-delegate support is concern. To my surprise, he never said that Hillary needs to be more impressive in the black vote in order to validate her chances, or too bad for her. I think if Hillary can’t do better with the black vote then in my eye, she’s dead as far as the supper-delegates too. See how silly this dialog is.

In order to for our party to make a statement like this it means they’re going to take the black for granted like they always do. (NOT THIS TIME) Our party always thinks that the black vote is automatic.

The only big blemish on Obama is Rev. Wright, but for Hillary, It’s Bosnia, Penn, the hospital, taxes, and her Husband; In other words, lying, manipulating, and deceit. Hillary is having a problem with honesty. Do the super-delegates and the working class whites want a liar, manipulator, and deceiver in office as president, isn’t that what we’re trying to get away from.

So biography is an issue for Obama. He’s so clean he’s considered too new. He carries no baggage so he can’t be trusted? Needless to say in order for him to rise to the office of Senator; don’t you think the other candidates that ran against him would have fond some garbage on him that somebody could use? How naïve (typical) is the white vote if that’s the thinking. If so, it goes to show you that you can be a liar, manipulator, be deceitful but be white and be accepted. You can be honest, impressive, intelligent, articulate, organized, and qualified but be black and you scare me. Sounds like bull feces to me.

Who anointed the white vote or should I narrow it down to the white working class to be the barometer in this campaign. Why not let the poor or working poor black people who are the victims of institutional racism votes be the barometer. They don’t count? Does anybody poll them? Doesn’t this sound like a candidate not appealing to all of the electorate? Is the electorate the white working class or all of the people? GET THIS STUIPED RACE, GENDER AND RELIGION BULL MESS OUT OF THIS ELECTION, PLEASE? LETS GET PASS THIS, IT AN OLD RECORD AND IT MAKES ME MAD. HELL, GROW UP. I know you can’t, how naïve (typical) I am. I know you won’t, how naïve (typical) I am. I know you don’t want too, how naïve (typical) I am.

Because of all this mess, I’m beginning to think based on objectivity, a vote for Hillary or McCain is because you’re in denial, racist or ignorant. (Ignorant meaning you don’t know and you don’t know that you don’t know.)
Denial, (You know this country needs to go in another direction and that the face of America is ugly right now and we suck, but change could effect your small peace of the world. You also know that it’s no difference between the Clintons or McCain as far as power is concern. Inter deals will continue to be made, so everything is just fine.) Racist, (You know that integrity, honesty, loyalty, intelligence, and organization is in Obama, but you can’t see your self voting for a black man, something’s got to be wrong with him if we can just wait. He just can’t be that damn good, could he?)

Who does McCain need? He needs Colin Powell. The retired General will awaken the black vote if the Democrats give the nomination to Hillary and Obama is ahead in delegates, popular vote, and states won.

Typical White women

There have been some things in the news being said about Obama’s statement pertaining to his Grandmother being a typical white women. What is a typical white woman? Let’s define typical. {Conventionally distinguished}, {to pick out within one’s perception, old hat, collective, characteristic, symbolic, conforming to a type, (especially visual}

Let’s break this down. It’s typical to run around a track counter clock wise but some people do run around a track clock rise. It’s typical to drive an automatic car with one foot, but some people do drive one with two feet. Hold on to that thought for awhile.

I’m a business consultant and a black man. Part of my work requires me to be in office buildings that are dominated with white office workers. In my routine I’ve noticed that white women will not ride an elevator with me alone. They'll chose to take the stairs regardless if they’re wearing 4” spiked heels or I’m going up or down. I carry a briefcase and I’m dressed professionally. I can also speak the Queen’s English. This happens to me 99/44/100% of the time. To me it’s typical that white women will not ride an elevator with me alone. Oh, you say it’s the signs of the times. It doesn’t change my visual perception, and it doesn’t change my thinking, so I can say white women don’t ride elevators with black men alone. I see black women ride elevators with white men alone.

I walk into a room and white women pick up their purses and put them on their shoulders. To me it’s typical, white women gather their purses if a black man is around. I could go on and you’d be surprised but I think you’ve got the picture. You see, typical is in the eye and life experiences of the individual telling the story.

White people don’t experience the life and visual perceptions of black people. We all want the same thing, but because of this word (typical) some of us are put into groups that we don’t belong, compromising our ability to obtain what we all want. I watched a news castor act completely surprised that the two black people he was interviewing had two different opinions on the subject mater about a black entertainer. He was befuddled. We weren’t typical in his minds eye.

Obama’s grandmother acted a particular way when she saw people of color. By watching her, he saw and formed opinions. When things didn’t change as he grew older, and he watched these things happen to him, to him it was typical.
If you listen to his entire statement, he said typical white women who has been taught things because of the way they was brought up. (To paraphrase)

Get the church and state out of the election and get the Obama not being a patriot or proud of his country out of the election. Obama is the epitome of American achievement and the American dream.

To most black people this lack of knowledge and understanding by some white people is typically accepted, but NOT THIS TIME.

Infidelity, So What

You may get me on this one but so what, that’s what blogs are for, right? Infidelity, I like talking about sex because I like sex.

Mr. Spitzer and Mr. Kilpatrick and Mr. Clinton and 99/44/100% of all men, in other words, the whole male species, must cum, if they like it or not, this is going to happen. God made us this way. We must cum just like we must go to the bathroom. Now, here’s the $64,000 question. When we cum, how, what, who, where, and when will it happen. With each and every one of us it’s different. That difference is called a fetish.

The fetish is in our imagination. Men will forever chase their fetish. It’s that simple. This has nothing against the mate. In fact if the mate can satisfy the fetish then all is well. Can the mate accomplish this task? Let’s see. Our good book tells us, No sex before marriage. Our good book understands that submitting your self as you would unto God would cover fetishes. But, we don’t submit ourselves, we have issues. You see, If God asked us to do anything, because of faith we’d jump right to it or let’s say we should jump right to it. Now, if your mate asked you to do anything, in many cases, they’ll be issues. And because of issues, for us men, we won’t buy shoes without trying them on, but we also know you don’t get everything in one package. Man how good life could be if you had everything in one package. Women, this goes for you too. You could if you submit you self as you do unto God.

In our world of the microwave generation, (immediate gratification) we want what we want now, and we want it to come easy with no fanfare or questions. These kinds of thoughts along with the need to satisfy your fetish breed the trade of prostitution. Prostitutes give what you don’t have at home without any fanfare or questions with a smile. I’m in favor of legalized prostitution along with drugs even though I don’t use drugs or prostitutes. (I’ll explain later)

Women know what they give or don’t give at home but for men, its goes a little further then that. Remember you don’t get everything in one package so along with the fetish, imagination, shape, color, size, and sex of the one who performs that fetish comes into play. Women, Men, you can’t cover all the above. No one is Superman or should they be and neither are prostitutes, but you can get different prostitutes to satisfy as many of those categories as you wish.

I don’t agree that the Government should be in the business of managing my life about where I want to put my picker as long as it is between two consenting adults, nor should they have concern about the amount of the gift I give in order to close the deal, or how far away they travel to consummate the business transaction. That’s between me, my mate and my Creator. Prostitution is a business. If it were legal the crimes involved in the trade would go way down. Anything illegal creates crime and an underground economy.
If milk were illegal then milk would go underground and crime would occur.
We’d be better served by regulating then by eliminating. Yes they’ll be healthcare concerns, but we have dependencies now from drugs we do that’s legal. Plus, the people with healthcare concerns now because of drugs are in the system now even though drugs are illegal, so nothing changes, only the crime and money. Oh yes, money. Our underground economy creates jobs for the elimination. Without those jobs that industry would dissolve and so would a large portion of the economy. So, with that knowledge, what is the rest of the story?

The philosophical definition of change

We’ve been hearing a lot about change, but what does it mean? The dictionary says to make something different, alter, reshape, or transform, but is that enough? Is that what it really means? It sounds like the dictionary is talking about a thing rather then people. When you talk about changing people, then it’s philosophical. So, I’m going to try and explain using some of my teachings what change is to people so it’s not a fairy tale like some have said in this presidential campaign.

In order to have change something has to be identified or no change can take place. In the case of these elections, what can be identified is America’s national politics. Change is how we solve those problems. Before March this was getting boring so along came race and the ratings went off the chart. We are to the point now with race that the black church is now under attack. (Case in point, we are not going to renounce or deject the black church. I don’t care what racist whites want.) Now, change has gone from issues to each other.

Most people run away from change. Many people think that by changing there can be trouble. They don’t understand that there is peace in the mitts of the change and that running away from trouble doesn’t change anything. They run away searching for peace when the peace is in the middle of change. You can’t quit in the middle of your trouble because in the mitts of that trouble there might be the greatest reward you ever had in your life. There are too many people trying to find change where there’s calm and no need for it. So for Obama supporters don’t abandon the ship, it’s just rocking. Obama is not going to quit he’s going to stand until he gets what he came for and that’s the presidency regardless of the trouble because he knows that’s why he’s running in the first place. It’s the trouble of our Nation that inspired the phrase.

Sometime change bring on turbulence, trouble, and unrest, sometime it bring on feelings that we don’t want to always identify with, but if we’re going to better our future we’ve got to disturb those presences sometime. This happens in the black church in ways that the white racist and the ignorant don’t understand.

The first step to change is desire; you’ve got to desire it in order to get it.
Do you want it? Have you ever been dealing with something in your life that you feel that you’ve been dealing with it forever? Have you ever felt so hopeless that you thought not even Jesus could fix it? Well we’ve grown accustom to those thoughts and feelings. That’s what the present administration has succeeded in making us think and tolerate for over 28 years. I’m talking about Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush just look at this country. It’s about to fall. And that’s why we need to change. We’ve got to change those things that we’ve grown accustom to, or that we’ve learned to tolerate in our Government. So ask your self, do you want your country to get well from this poor administration, do you want the voice of the people to guide government rather then government guiding the people. Do you have the desire for change? Do you really want it? How bad do you want it? When Chaney was asked, The people want an end to this war. They don’t think it’s needed any more. The answer Chaney gave was So.
Listen, when you desire the need to succeed as much as you want to breathe, that’s when you will become great and that is in the heart of Obama, because you can only attack his color and his black experience to find something slightly wrong with your desire to change. Something will always come up to sap that desire but you must fight through it and let nothing get it the way to stop this desire for change. That’s what we can and must do. “Yes we can.”

Fear will keep you from change. Our fear of change is that we don’t believe we can change. When you are afraid to change you won’t have the desire to do it. You won’t try it because of the fear of failure. You don’t believe it will work, but it will work if you have the desire to make it work. I’ve got to say here that it’s the fear of the black experience that plagues Obama’s campaign for white people right now.

We perceive the need for change as an admittance of weakness. We don’t want to admit that we’re weak, so we keep deceiving ourselves about needing to change. Change is not weak or a fairy tail. It takes courage and strength to admit the truth. It takes a strong man to admit and carry out the truth. Obama did that in his speech. He had to look at himself in the mirror and say I’ve got to confront this issue and I’ve got to tell the truth in order to convince the non knowing that my blood and soul is with them and for this country that I love no matter what my surrounding or the path I may take in order to strengthen my Ideology. It takes strength to not go around in circles making excuses for the way you are. One of the most powerful things you can do as a Christian is to judge yourself. Obama did just that and then wrote his speech.

Next, we don’t like to unsettle things in our life. Why, because we settle for mediocrity. You can’t change not wanting to stir thing up (The black church), evangelist, and motivational speakers to name a few. We will settle for mediocrity when we can have a miracle in our life. Remember your miracle is waiting for you just inside of trouble, the ruff road or uncharted water. We settle for average because we don’t get off that beaten path because of fear or admitting to weakness. Most of us live in average because we want to settle for calm things. We settle for what people tell us or show us with out question. We settle for the media to shape our thinking with propaganda and sensationalism. You know who ever shapes you thinking shapes desire. If what you think, you don’t want, change you thinking. If what you see, you don’t want, then change what you see. If what you do, you don’t want, then change what you do. Obama doesn’t like what he sees or hears going on in government for the people. He feels it’s wrong and he knows if he can rally all the people that these wrongs effect then he can bring about the change each and every one of us needs and ask for. Check yourself and desire for change. Rid yourself of weakness and don’t run away from troubled waters then you will understand Obama’s message.

Why Why Why

I’m not surprised with the tactics white America is demonstrating against candidate Obama, and I use the word tactic rather then conspiracy. WHY,
because there’s no question that Obama was and still can win the Demarcated national nomination for President of the United States out right. The over whelming majority of the people in this country know already who they’re going to vote for. They’re just waiting their turn to vote. This money that’s spent campaigning is a waste. WHY, because you’re only trying to get the 3, 4, or 5% of the undecided. Anyone undecided at this time really never cared in the first place. It’s obvious that as this goes on only disaster can happen with damage to the party and candidates. Look at the speakers from the media get more and more argumentive and venomous in their discussions. Look at the lines being drawn in the sand about how it better be my candidate or else and the hell with the process.
Look, the pollsters and media have already been to the remaining states that still have primaries pending and they know that the remaining states are Obama dominate virtually eliminating Hillary’s chances to win even a brokers convention in August. The Media had to play on Michigan and Florida. WHY, for Hillary. These states are supposedly Hillary’s. She needs them very, very badly. The tactic comes in by destroying Obama with something from some place or some where that will upset his dominance in the remaining states causing a better argument for Hillary’s nomination.
As far as I am concerned, the damage is done, and the Democratic Party is domed. The party is split and it was split at all cost because of the Clintons, and race. The Clintons are desperate. They’re not presidential and can’t believe that Obama who came from nowhere that know one new is out campaigning them, from raising money, organization, votes, substance, and composure under fire. The statements Obama has released and his interviews under pressure, along with the negative exposure of ignorance where he is concern this campaign year, is a testament to his leadership.
It’s becoming more and more obvious that race is the issue and that the real issues has been exhausted and are no longer news worthy. Finding bull feces on the candidates is the order of business. WHY, because it’s exciting, glamorous, sales ratings and newspapers.

Racism Take a Bow

Why does black America have to validate their ideology to white America? They won’t get it even if told, it won’t compute. Listen, white people are not black. Way too many white people will never understand the black experience. They may listen to it, they may go to see it, they my buy it, but they will never, never understand it. They may defend it, they may try to write about it, but they can never live it. Why, because they ain’t black. Being black does not affect them. Most white people don’t see black people other then in fear. They don’t here black people, because black people don’t hold position that may allow white people to listen to them. When you are in power you dictate and you surround yourself with people and personal that will at any cost perpetuate your power. You don’t have to understand anything or anyone out side of your rule. All they can do is go along for the ride if they like it or not. They can beg all they want but if it’s not in your program, oh well! Remember you are in power and the beggars are not like you or your kind.

For more then 400 years white people in this country have been in power. Black people have been no more then tools to only enhance that power. That is where black experience in thus country began. Black people began to hate being black. Black people began to except their lack of power and hope. But out of that gloom came some individuals who would not let or except that kind of mentality from our people. They had to preach, fight, kill and be killed in order to show their weak in spirit that how white people defined us is not the norm but only a philosophy that whites instituted in order to maintain control and power over us. It was the abuse of their power that was mandated in order to keep us in place, to keep us under control, to legally demand that we were not equal because if we were, and was left alone, we would be savage. Why, because they did not understand us and did not have too.

It was our church that preached faith and forgiveness for the people responsible for this injustice just because of our skin color. It was our church that explained the truth of why we were in the position we were in. It was our church that encouraged us to have strength against all odds. It was our church that taught reality along with salvation. Do you think main stream white people could understand these teachings? HELL NO! Why, because they were the initiators that qualified the dialog. Do you think that we are so naive that we think things have changed? Do you think that because we talk about an oppressor that we don’t understand that in order to grow and go forward that we miss the point that we must help change the ways of our oppressor also, even if we know that trying to get them to understand us will be a fight because they really don’t want or have to understand, that we know they will never share power because sharing power will insinuate equality and being equal with us is dreadful, that we know that they will blow this place up and tear it down before that happens. Don’t get me wrong because a few of us do get through the cracks, but it’s not enough. Do you think we don’t understand why they’re no books in our schools, but it’s our fault? (All teachers learn from the same institutions) Do you think that we don’t understand that too many people in our families can’t put their finger on anyone in their family who has benefited from a collage education?

Now, you want us to denounce our church because they sometimes say things outside of salvation, that they say and preach at times how ignorant law and lawmakers effect our community, when everything and every social advancement of all black people if they know it or not came from black experience that originated from the black church. How can ignorant white people understand this? Yah see, they weren’t brought here against their will. They came willingly with their tradition. Ours was destroyed because of fear, ignorance, evil, dominance and total humiliation of a people for white profit only to be replaced with a culture we didn’t understand and found too cruel to learn but had too in order to live and be treated kindly, oh, but don’t educate them, keep books away from them, beat them if they’re caught with them. Even if we try to tell white people so they’d understand, it will be negative to their ears. These whites will always say, Why like that? Look, let me enslave you; strip you of your name, history, culture and language. Let me rape your wives and daughters and sell your fathers sons like cattle. Let me make laws to declare you 3/5th of a human even though you come from Kings and Queens and see what you will say in church when the time is right and things had to be said in order to keep the peace, in order to organize, in order not to give up hope or do something stupid.

You say you personally didn’t do this? That’s true, but in my lifetime I’ve read in the Jet magazine weekly about lynching and I’m only 59. Do you think this will just goes away, not for baby boomers up? Maybe those white people have forgotten because it was not happening to them. When we see wrong doing are we suppose to stand mute just because we are in church and our only voice was in our church. Our church talks negatively about us too at times not just about white people. Many whites will not understand the many challenges, functions, and duties of the black church and the pearls of its parishioners that the preacher must address without pointing too, or calling out.

So, Obama has to denounce his black experience. Hell, his mother is white. Does his association with black experience mean he hates his Mother? Obama is about change, transformation, reshaping, and modifying this America and the Worlds view of America. This unqualified attack on his character and his mission is childish, elementary and racist. If I have season tickets to basketball games, does it mean I want to be a basketball player? No, but I will gain a lot of knowledge about basketball. If I played Basketball does it mean I can’t be a Senator because of my Basketball experience? No. Does my association with Basketball mean I can’t support, enjoy, and fight for hockey and its challenges? No, and neither being a product of black experience mean I can’t be President of the United States of America and want to be the fighter to bridge the ignorance of what I’ve experienced and what others have not experienced in order to end this negative spiral of racism and government for the privilege, and neither does Obama.

Eliot Spitzer

The reason Eliot Spitzer was caught was because of the Patriot Act. The patriot act enabled the Federal Reserve Bank to monitor the movement of money in all USA’s bank accounts. This system checks all bank accounts every two hours. In other words, the system starts with me and next goes to you and next him and next her and so on and so forth until everyone is checked. This takes about two hours before it gets back to me and then it begins again seven days a week and twenty four hours a day.
How do I know this?
In my business I offer a check verification system called gCheck. gCheck is a system owned by a company called Giact. Giact has the rights to offer this check verification system to businesses that must take in a large amount of checks and want to avoid the 15% of them being NFS, closed, or challenged. City’s, Internet, and businesses save a huge amount of money by eliminating the high cost and problems this 15% can accrue. This system is monitored by the Federal Reserve and its Patriot Act. This means that a check that goes through this system is gold. NSF is eliminated, closed accounts eliminated, challenges eliminated to a minimum. But later on that.
Governor Eliot Spritzer was caught because of the large movement of money that raised a flag. His phone was automatically tapped and the rest is history.

Bad Drinking Water

What’s the matter with them now? They are trying to say that our drinking water has medicine in it. What is it, so many parts per/billion or less? Let me say this.
I’m a plumber and I’ve worked in a waste water plant and a water purification plant and here’s the low down.
In waste water treatment water and waste flows to the waste water plant to be treated. It goes through a series of filters and chemicals in the process to be released back into the lake. These parts per/million of impurities are not harmful to the environment when released. A great deal of money and technology helps this process stay efficient and effective for this system to work as safe and reliable as can be, and is checked and double checked continually.
After treatment water is deposited into the lake. If you test water at the discharge after treatment you might get a trace of impurities you could identify, but this is not where we get our water to drink. (WE DO NOT GET THE WATER WE DRINK FROM THE AREA OF THE DISCHARGE FROM THE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT.)
The water we use for drinking has its intakes miles from this discharge, and this discharge that’s deposited into the lake has trillions and trillions of gallons of moving water to dilute these small impurities. It’s like trying to fine a needle in a hay stack or as a plumber would say, piss in an ocean. I guess this study says they’ve found piss in an ocean.
Again this water is taken from the lake and treated with filters and chemicals.
And again, so many parts per/million considered safe is pumped through the water system to your faucets. Because of the infrastructure of the piping system the water will pick up more part per/million of impurities before it gets to your faucet. I just can’t believe that the test came from the tap, maybe at the discharge from waste water discharges but not the tap from your home.
Was the test from well water? Well water has its set of circumstances too.
We have a greater risk with the air we breathe then the water we drink.

The Haves and the Have not's

I’ve tried to leave this 2008 campaign for President of the United States alone ever sense the Michigan voters were disenfranchised. I’ve tied to leave the blog alone even though there was so much to write about concerning the elections. But, and when you use the word but, you erase every thing you’ve just said, the media just doesn’t get it. These elections are not about anything but the difference between the Haves and Have not’s.
The media is having the times of their lives analyzing this and that and getting it wrong. The people are coming out in droves to vote because of the uniqueness of the two candidates. Hillary is the voice and reprehensive of women, baby boomers and older. Women, especially white women have felt oppressed by their dominate and powerful white men. They feel this is their time to finally put men in their place. The media refuses to talk to feminist groups about who do they endorse. I’ll do it for you, 100% Hillary. (Men have women have not.) Women and their struggles to be equal just will not let them vote against gender lines.
McCain, the voice of things as usual, the status quo, saying the Union is fine and only needs some tweaking. Big business, deep pockets, money for the fortune 500 stays in place. (Big money and the powerful have, everyone else have not.)
Obama, the voice of change, is the representative of the people from the bottom up. The new verses the old, the fresh verses the stale, the changing of the guard, the youth and their turn, the separation and the end of an era from the baby boomers up, a new chapter in leadership. But the haves say they are not ready that they don’t have the experience. The world will come to an end, you will not be safe, you can’t make a deal, and hoping is a fairy tale.
The other candidates say change requires experience. To me their experience is saying that they know what’s best for me. It sounds like parents when their children tell them that they are leaving home to make it on their own. What parent is ready to except that? The only thing they should do is check on them and give them a chance, and support them so they don’t fall too hard, but don’t hold them back. We want them to be better then us, but we at some time or other must give them the rain to go forward and use our experience to guide them.
The youth is coming out to voice their time, to take control. The have not’s are coming out because they believe that finally they’ll be someone in power who’ll here them, who has experienced the same kind of life’s struggles that they themselves have lived, the middle class that is slowly eroding because of the closed government in power now, the old who is worried about their social security. (The have not’s, the people who believe in hope and know there must be a change or they will parish.)
Just think, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, or McCain. Reagan for eight years, Bush for four, Clinton for eight, Bush for eight, If I take out Ragan that’s twenty years of just two families. Look at this Nation. McCain wants to be Reagan and Clinton will be Clinton.
Their was no war for Bill to deal with so all the money was at home. Hillary still couldn’t get national health care going.
This nation has gone to hell and the experience has taken us there, or should I have said, the haves has taken us there. The children voting now only know of two families who have been in power and they don’t like it.
I think change and hope is in order this time unless the haves take it away at the convention.
Start a business, work it slow, marry it, take it as far as it will go with honest effort and advertise, and when you do, “Let Us Mind You Business”

Shame on Michigan

I heard some bad news that the DNC might bargain delegates from the Michigan primary.
(Bad News)
We were denied our right to vote for the candidate of our choice here in Michigan because of some technicality the National Democratic Party had with Michigan for moving up the primary. The ballot had Clinton but neither Obama nor Edwards on it. This caused all types of confusion.
Some voters wrote in their choice only to have their vote not count because you couldn’t write in your choice even though the ballot said you could.
Some voters just voted for Clinton because her name was on the ballot and not the candidate of their choice, but just wanted to vote Democratic and exercise their right.
Some voters voted for a Republican because they didn’t want to give Clinton a vote but wanted to exercise their right.
Some voters voted uncommitted rather then give Clinton a vote.
Some voters didn’t vote at all.
And the absentee ballot was the same for the seniors and just as confusing.

Candidates left no buttons, banners, yard signs, bumper stickers, or spent money.
Candidates didn’t come here to talk too Michigan about the depression going on here.
Money was not spent here for printing, TV, radio, or campaigners.
In other words our rights were trashed in this history making campaign.

Clinton can not claim the delegates.
Uncommitted can’t go to Obama, because what about Edwards.
Write in mistakes did not get new ballots, neither the polls or absentee.

So, in order to be right, NO CADIDATE SHOULD GET DELEGATES FROM MICHIGAN. Michigan should not be seated at the convention. REMOVE THE DELEGATES FROM CLINTON and just spit on Michigan a little bit longer.
Our constitutional right to vote for the candidate of our choice was destroyed and you can’t fix it.
Florida might be different because all the candidates were listed.

We don’t count Michigan because you were bad. Hold out your hand so it can be whacked. You lose your constitutional rights; maybe you’ll get it right next time and do what I tell you to do. Good By!!
It’s just like that.

A Things to do sheet

How many of you use a things to do sheet. I mean a paper with thing you need to do on a daily bases on it. It is very important in today’s world with the fast moving demands of life, to understand that moving toward your goals as quickly as posible will better secure the big pay off for you. Today more then ever the early bird gets the worm. Every field of endeavor requires a swift calculated order of business in order to succeed with the highest degree of return. You should scratch off something on you things to do sheet everyday. When the list is half scratched off, update it with a new one.
I use a things to do sheet everyday because I don’t want to keep all the things I’ve got to do on my mind. Show me someone who doesn’t use a things to do sheet and I will show you someone who doesn’t do much at all at working toward goals or is someone who uses forgetfulness as and excuse for non accomplishments and is unorganized.
If you multi-task or have more then one career, you’ve got to have a things to do list. You ware too many hats. A things to do list will worry you if you look at it every day and they’re no cross offs. A things to do list will make you find time for you to take care of some business in a timely matter. A things to do list will make you feel you can do more with your life. A things to do list will keep your mind from wandering and loosing your train of thought. A things to do list will give you the feeling of accomplishment.
In life we need to feel victories. Training our minds with small victories will allow our thoughts to know what it's like and how good we feel when those thoughts leads us to bigger victories and goals. A things to do list will do that.
If a things to do list is too old fashion, then the latest thing on the market is the digital voice recorder. This is one sexy device. Push a button and record your thing s to do list. The thing is great for class lectures, random thoughts, dictation, brainstorming, personal reminders, grocery list, and more. If you want to be a right on time with your success get one of these but please, no less than a things to do sheet and remember too always advertise, and when you do,

Anger

I’ve had some bad experiences with anger so let’s defined and outline it. Anger is an emotion completely rooted in the need to control or manipulate, and emotions are feelings on the inside caused by pain or pleasure with the purpose to move you in a certain direction. This means if you don’t control or take charge of your emotions then you’ll try to control someone else’s. Anger is a manipulative emotion that’s also a result of fear in most cases.
In relationships, if a husband doesn’t agree with something the wife is trying to get across and the wife got angry, she got angry in order to change the situation. That’s manipulation not anger. She wants her way.
The Good Book says we’re supposed to be swift to listen and slow too speak. This is the only way to get things figured out rationally. GOD gave us two ears and one mouth, so we should be twice as ready to hear than too speak. If we’ll just listen and here things out, we’d be able to respond appropriately. It’s said, death and life is in the power of the tongue. What comes out of your mouth can destroy, so be slow to take offence and you’ll be slow to anger and being slow to anger means you’ll be slow to control.
People do use anger to get things done but when you use this method to get things done, it’s called manipulation. Manipulation means to handle skillfully by putting someone into a guilt trip, using crying, shouting, threatening, and falsifying for your own propose. If you’ve got to make someone feel guilty in order to get them to do what you think they should do, then you are manipulating them and what ever you gain in manipulation you will lose. Using anger to get someone to hear or understand you means you are using manipulation and this does not work, it backfires, and ruins things.
This negative emotion does not line up with the word of GOD when He says be quick to hear and slow to speak. GOD teaches us to keep fear and anger out of our hearts because it’s a direct contradiction to faith and also his commandment that says, love your neighbor as you do yourself. Anger is not loving you neighbor as you do yourself, anger is manipulating your neighbor and that’s a sin. Anger is a reflex but its how you deal with it that can make it wrong.
Manipulation is a form of witchcraft believe it or not. Trying to alter someone’s thinking with manipulation is called witchcraft because witchcraft is the manipulation of someone’s thinking, be it by using anger, fear or any other mind altering suggestions including drugs.
Fomakia is the Greek word for witchcraft. We associate formakia with the word pharmaceutical (Drugs), and drugs are use in witchcraft to manipulate.
A man’s thinking can be altered with the use of drugs, and the abuse of them can alter anything by poisoning rational thought and by twisting things around so that anger, fear, selfishness, being paranoid, rebellious, hate, guilt, and manipulation is a way of life, and all of the above emotions come under the banner of witchcraft which is a sin in GOD’S eyes.
Witchcraft is not a spiritual force like so many would like you to believe. It’s a way of thinking. It’s a demonic substitute for real spiritual power which is only achieved by the word GOD.
I don’t care if someone told you to jump backwards to obtain that which you’re trying to achieve, or count too 100 by 2’s, or take this or that, and sprinkle that or this, its manipulation. This is why voodoo, witchcraft, palm readers and astrology etc. don’t work for me. It opposes the word of GOD by eliminating faith making GOD’S word seem as an addition too rather then gospel. In other words, GOD word don’t work that way, Out of control emotions will backfire and you will lose in the long run and bring others down who are evolved with you..
People, stop trying to control and listen, shut up and hear. Stop being angry. Gain control of your emotions. It’s been said that you can tell how big a man is by the things that make him mad. Don’t destroy your life or someone else’s because of the lack of understanding the emotion of anger and its destructive nature. Don't forget to advertise, and

My best Christmas ever

There’s only a few days left until the New Year and less then that until Christmas.
It's funny how the signs of the times or getting older make’s you view the Holydays differently each year.
When were the Holydays the best for you? Was it when you got gifts galore? Was it when you got exactly what you wanted? Were you in love or alone?
For me it was like this.
Me and Mom were very poor. It was only us two. (I’m a product of a broken home.) It was very hard on Mom trying to make it. I think I was 14. Mom doesn’t have a good education and she was raised in an era when women got out of high school and got married. In fact she was told you don’t waste a college education on a woman because she was only going to get married and not use it anyway. It was a time when a one income family was the norm. It was a time when men worked some how some way because there were jobs because the U.S. was a manufacturing nation. (Today we don’t manufacture our goods as mush so the middle class is eroding.) But here we are in Detroit from Chicago alone on Christmas Eve Eve with nothing. No tree, gifts, or anything.
It was about 8 o’clock that night when there was a knock on the door. I went to answer it and behold there were some Boy Scouts at the door with a Christmas tree asking if me and Mom wanted it. I thought this was very important for Mom because she was very religious and a Christian. I said, “Mom some guys are here with a Christmas tree, can we have it cause they’re just giving it away.” Well, she said ok. They brought it up, (we lived in an upstairs flat.) and sat it up. I remembered how good it smelled. Me and Mom were so happy that we could just cry. We thanked the Scouts and they left because they said they had more to do. We just stared at the tree as it fell into shape finally falling asleep. The next day, Christmas Eve, Mom rapped empty boxes that we’d saved for something or other with paper bags. (Plastic bags were not yet invented) and put them under the tree. It began to snow. You could see the flakes trough the window. It was only enough snow to cover the grass but it was pretty. Mom made some hot pet milk with sugar that we put into some cups and had a nice warm drink for Christmas Eve. We felt very blessed and very happy.
That was the best Christmas I ever had.

I know it’s been awhile. In fact it’s been too long. It seems that time is moving so fast. My new business venture is growing with new streams that help business increase profits and maximize efficiency with their processing needs.
Plus I had to stop offering free terminals and no contract for credit card processing. Our folks were abusing it. They’d get a free terminal from me, shop around for better rates, cancel, and go with someone else only to find out those better rates were lies. I had to chase these people to get back my machine. You see, when I gave you a free machine I still had to buy it. The free machine was a perk for the account. It’s like I gave you an unlimited expense account and you abused it in the first month.
I wish people weren’t so mean. I’m a consultant I don’t want to sale you anything. I want to help you with your processing needs. That’s all. If you want to increase profits or make the processing part of your business more efficient, listen. If not, don’t attack me or make me fill badly. This only shows me your fear of change. Did you know that a man who is fearful can’t be trusted? They will betray you because of their fear. Anyway I have some great deals for business processing today. Can you believe some people?

I’ve been thinking like I always do. I can’t help it. But, can you believe some people? I haven’t told too many folks until now that I always believed that you must do something first, and then tell others. What I mean is, do the research, do your homework, and get the answers to what you want to do before you tell everybody. We have the Internet today, so this is much easier to do then it was yesterday. When we ask people to be favorable to what we’re doing or going to do, it’s hard for them to be objective. Only a hand full of us can. Well in my circle, I can forget about the hand full, so I research and do the homework myself. My latest endeavor takes me to the world of Master Card and Visa.
I’ve become a Master Card and Visa consultant, so I go out and talk to businesses that have Master Card and Visa credit card processing merchant accounts or new businesses that wish to have one. Today s the last day of the year for 2006 so I thought I’d say something before the year ends.
In the news over the last few days we’ve lost a president (Ford), Sadam was executed, and we said good buy to James Brown.
I’d like to loose, execute, and say good buy to one more thing. (Racism)
For as long as I can remember black people have been in a struggle. We’ve gotten use to struggling for this and that. I here all the time among people my age “Keep up the struggle.” I understand this phrase more then ever now. It’s impossible for the struggle to end do to racism.
Racism is not a black problem. I’ll repeat, “RACSIM IS NOT A BLACK PROBLEM.” It’s handed down from the people who so badly need to be recognized that they are better then someone or something else. It’s their own inferiority complex that fuels this behavior. They feel and believe that equality will danger their lifestyle and existence. Black people have been asking for too long to belong to this country. Forget it. Racism will be forever taught and handed down, there’s nothing we can do about it, so we’ve got too stop begging for it to happen.
Black people, why can’t we teach our children too learn?
Why do our children want to sell drugs?
Why do we find it entertaining to publicly degrade our women?
Women, Why do you find this cool, hot, sexy, hard, and a show of power or strength?
What’s wrong with you?
I now understand what keep up the struggle means.
Keep up the struggle too hope our child will learn how to read, write, or count on a six-grade level because that’s what it takes to function in America.
Keep up the struggle that your child wont set up the dope house next door to your house.
Keep up the struggle that your child doesn’t kill because he or she got disrespect by their friend or neighbor.
Keep up the struggle in hopes that the black businessman does what he say he will do so we can end the reputation that precedes the honest black businessman who want too make a difference.
Keep up the struggle too stop trashing our own neighborhood even if it’s poor.
I can go on and on but for what. I’m only trying to say, WE’RE IN OUR OWN WAY. WE STOP OURSELVES! There is NO reason for us not too learn. That school is so tough that we’ve got to drop out because we can’t learn on a six-grade level, BULLCHIPS! That we can’t think past drugs or gangsta rap, That we can’t be the protectors of our neighborhood and support or push the ones that are trying to make a difference, That we can’t support our businesses better, That we don’t think out side the box, That we let another groups of people define us, direct us, school us, give us, prison us, use us, ignore us, poison us, take from us, over price us, and f- - k us.
The first group of people to do that too us is US. You see; that’s where the struggle is first. It’s with US. The second group of people is everybody else who’s not with us, and their purpose is to undermine us. (911, Katrina, affirmative action).
That’s any people, group, program, organization, or institution that lies and uses deceit against us to perpetuate their own existence. In other words, the parasites of the world disguised as help groups. You know them (Demarcates, Republicans, social programs, some churches, Fema, public education, just to name a few.)
$350,000,000.00 comes out of the U.S. budget to take care of 35,000,000 poor people every year. What’s wrong with that picture? You do the math. POOR PEOPE ARE BIG BUSINESS, AND FOR WHO? 911 and Katrina afford collected billons. Where is it?
I can go on, but what I’m trying to say is we have our priority in the wrong places and with the wrong group of people. WE DON’T NEED THAT KIND OF HELP. How does the song go? (Hey you, get off my mountain, hey you, get of my cloud, you’re just trying to bring me down, make me feel like a clown. That kind of action I don’t need, that kind of heartache I can’t use, that kind of loven I can do without, so go and play your game with someone new.) SO MOVE ON PARASITES!
I’ll plead again on this last day of the year 2006. My people, my people, please stop the nonsense. We must move on but we need most of you and we need all of our young. We’re better then anything you can imagine together. WE MUST CHANGE OURSELVES FOR THE BETTER WITHIN THE SYSTEM AND LAW. We can do it. We have a glorious past, and an even better future if we do.

THE NEW CIVIL RICHTS MOVEMENT

On November 7, 2006 Blacks in Michigan experienced the death of the old civil rights movement. “Affirmative action failed”
Black activist, talk show host, minority organizations, civic leaders, you and I worked tirelessly to get the message out to the masses that affirmation action must not fail. I’ve mentioned to many people that this fight was more important then the race for governor. But…. Yes, I said But. I did not think we were going to succeed because, the message went out to the people who already new the importance. Oh! How Prop #2 needed clarification, because the whole thing was a con job out the gate. The people who already new the importance made sure with all their might that we worked and went to the polls to make sure we’d win. But… Yes, I said But. We were only preaching to the choir, still we won. We did not have enough white people on our side, Demarcate or Republican. We got caught in a numbers game, and that’s what made this vote tainted, and wrong in the first place.
I felt the pain of a loss like this about two years ago and saw how this current loss was simmering, just waiting to boil over then burn.
Our local union has what we call a hiring hall. It works like this. When a plumber is laid off from a contractor, the plumber puts his or her name on the out of work list. As a contractor needs man- power, they call the local and take as many plumbers they need from the top of the list. This worked fine for many, many years. But…. Yes, I said But. The economy went south. Work was hard to come by and many good plumbers were out of work. Many plumbers had Fathers, Brothers, Uncles, Cousins, golfing buddies, drinking buddies, and friends who owned plumbing businesses, and a number of plumbers wanted to go to work for those connections, But…. Yes I said But. The hiring hall didn’t let them do it. Well, the issue came to the floor at a union meeting to install solicitation as a means of getting work. Arguments against this were ramped. THIS WILL ONLY BREED AND OPEN THE UGLY DOORS Of DISCRIMATION AGAINST THE OLDER PLUMBER, THE HEAVIER PLUMBER AND THE MINORITY PLUMBER, INCLUDING, WOMEN, BLACKS AND OTHERS. Speech after speech talked about the horror this would bring. The messages were so strong that the plumbers who felt the opposite did not take the floor. Next, it went to a vote by secrete ballot. It was a landslide victory for solicitation. This let me know that there were a lot of forked tongues out there. This also let me know that after 40 years of me being affiliated with the local, nothing has changed. I could tell you more, but this letter is not about me.
When affirmative action was to go before a vote by the people I shivered. I said this was wrong. It did not come in with a vote, and it should not have a chance to go out with a vote. THE SAME REASON AFFIRMATIVE ACTION CAME INTO BEING, IS THE EXACT SAME REASON IT SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE TO A VOTE.
White folks for years have blamed black folks for stepping in front of the line sense the affirmative actions enactment As far as white women is concern, they’re white, so, they’re in.
Affirmative action was domed from the start when it went to a vote. No matter how important this vote was, it was domed. Read the above.
Black people MUST STOP begging white people too accept us as equals. IT AIN’T HAPPENING. HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO HIT YOURSELF IN THE HEAD WITH A HAMMER BEFORE YOU REALIZE IT HURTS. Also, the hell with party affiliation, they’re the same. Our civic leaders, activist, talk show host whoever stands out and up front for black people must attack US. It’s an Us thang. We kill each other, we rob each other, we cheat each other, we are jealous of each other, and on and on. Call it like it is, and, it is our fault we are this way. We can be poor and civil, loving and educated, clean and respectful to one other. Then we can take care of business. It’s US. (Man made problems have man made solutions if man wants to solve it or not.)
Our activist must actively go after black people who can make a difference. Not chasing Cris Rock’s mother who did not get served for 30 minutes in a restaurant, and that makes national news. There are many stories like that in the necked city, and that‘s just one of them, but those other people, they don’t have the right name. It’s US. Lets make national news when our people of fame and fortune turn their backs on their own kind or will not use their clout to help the movers and shakers get in the door or have an ear. Let that be national news. We’re told, BLACK PEOPLE’S MONEY PUT TOGETHER WOULD BE THE 5th, 6th, or 7th, GROSS NATIONAL PROUDUCT IN THE WORLD.WE READ AND HERE, THIS BLACK PERSON AND THAT BLACK PERSON OR GROUP GAVE MILLIONS TO THIS THAT AND THE OTHER THING. STOP!!!!!! Let’s get some priority. These things are needed. But…Yes, I said But. Let’s get real and use the time and money more effectively for the nose- bleed causes and generate more power.
If we want cheaper insurance, then form an insurance company black people. You black philanthropist, give some millions to that cause. Make the insurance national and deal in volume. Take the driving records for consideration to qualify in the early stages, and make incentive to drivers be a part of it. Make it a membership.
This can be done. What insurance company is losing money? This was done by the church many years ago. Want a mortgage, go to the church.
Did you know that Phoenix, Arizona is the number one car thief capitol in the nation and they pay $600. Per year for full coverage maybe, plus they don’t have no fault, so you can still sue for rear end collisions. This means Detroit pays the price for the losses in other cities.
Our activist must get into the Junior high schools and Senior high schools and use their gifts to stimulate our children who believe that there is no hope because they can’t put a finger on anyone close to them who benefited from a college education. The people they know are out of work or working in another filed and are smart as hell. Our children don’t want to work for 5, 6, or 7 dollars an hour only to be screamed at and be talked down too. They will sale dope. They don’t want to work for anyone for 30 years for a gold watch and still eat cat food. They need entrepreneur learning and exposure. They need to be taught to market themselves all over the world, not just get a good job, they’re too few. They need to be taught finance from day one as a mandatory subject. Real estate, sales and national market exposure, a foreign language mandatory from day one is just the beginning. Business leaders that look like them must be brought in the schools to touch them regularly. A network of black businesses is mandatory. Only then will we win.
White people will not finance or support their own demise. The minute white people let us move up, their power comes down. Yes, I said Let. Their history is one of might and superiority. Us being equal is nonsense too so many of them. Trying to be accepted is winless. Some of us must play politics with our livelihoods with them. But… Yes I said But. Most of us don’t. Integration does not work in reality. It’s a utopia. When we finality stand up, the political parties will come slamming on our door.
So far, we are only here to consume and be exploited so white people will have a market at home. We are the ones who buy all the junk they make. Lincoln trucks built on work truck frames but double the price. We buy Escalades priced out the building. White people don’t buy Escalades. WE also buy Lexus’s that are Toyotas, and Cadillac’s, Bucks and Chevy’s that are all the same car. White people are telling us what’s valuable and what’s not, also trying to have us desensitize the word niggah by not producing hip- hop that will not exploit the word or culture, and on and on. Plus, we blacks have personal messiahs. I can say the right thing and have the right program but if I’m not the right name, forget it. I’ve watched you part seas. Not because you are unique, but because you are a product of education and successful in your field of work. So, believe it our not, you have a following, a flock and you are to some folks their messiah, like it or not. Yet, you tell people all the time that you are just an ordinary Jane, wrong. Look at the people you know and who knows you by name. What they do and what they are about, that’s important. You can call them at will and get through. This is why people like you and people who do what you do, are invaluable. I know I’m stretching it a little, but I’m trying to make a point. You can take your flock this way or that if you wanted and you know it. You, Jesse, Sharpton, Dyson Magic, Bob Johnson, Cosby, Oprah, S. Lee, Tiger, C. Rangel, Michael, C. Hughes, Obama, Conyers, Graves, Smiley, Joyner, Simmons, Kobe, Basset, Fishbone, Perry and Barkley just to name a few can, get us to follow them off of a wall.
I’m sadden by our loss of affirmative action, but this might wake us up as a people, and be our first step for massive change, support, and solidarity as a people. “Welcome to new civil rights movement,”

What do we do with JESUS?

We’ve got so many problems in the world today that many of us believe the only answer for them is prayer.
But I have a question. Who do you believe will answer the prayer?
A Man, a Women, a White Man, a Black Man, a Latino, an Asian, a Native American.
Who do we believe will here and answer our prayers?

Do you really think that black people believe a white man is going to be there for them always and forever. That he will judge them by their deeds and open the doors to Heaven for him to live harmoniously with white people. Or will he seek to maintain power over all the races with policy only he and those like him will demand because they would not be able to live forever equally with others.

There are not too many black people who think that white people will not try like Hell too separate themselves from Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Native Americans or anyone else they deem a threat to their lifestyle just because those groups are not white. Sounds familiar.

So, if the answer to the problems is prayer, then too whom do we prey and believe?
So what do we do with JESUS so that we’d want to change our lives and live by his word knowing he will not favor his own kind? Did GOD have a chosen people but yet he made all of mankind? Did GOD favor His Son? Or is it that JESUS was just so great that he could not possibly have been black.

I’ve been away for a few days to keep some of the postings at the top of the page. There have been a lot of things going on in the past weeks.
The auto industry is in shambles. The USA is spread out too thin in its war efforts. Nations with people of color is telling the USA that we can’t tell them that they can’t have nuclear technology because they may make a bomb with it. Our educational system doesn’t work for everybody. Our churches are creating wealth for the church at the expense of the poor and needy. Crime is up. The distance between the haves and have-nots is getting wider. The erosion of the middle class is at full steam. Eleven-year-old girls are performing oral sex on groups of boys and men at one time. And the beet goes on.

So what do I talk about?
Women.

Women, this may hurt. YOU MUST STOP HAVING BABIES FOR THESE WORTHLESS MEN. WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU? HAVING BABIES FOR THESE GUYS WILL NOT KEEP HIM AROUND NOR WILL YOU GET ANY MONEY.
DON’T GIVE ME THE EXCUSE THAT IT TAKES TWO TO MAKE A BABY.
LADIES, IT IS YOU AND YOU ALONE THAT HAS THE POWER TO MAKE A MAN A FATHER. ONLY YOU CAN HAVE THE BABY. YOU KNEW BEFOR YOU HAD UNPROTECTED SEX THAT YOU WAS NOT TAKING BIRTH CONTROL.
IF YOU WERE NOT TAKING BIRTH CONTROL AND YOUR MAN WAS NOT GOING TO USE A CONDON, THEN HAVE SEX ANOTHER WAY OR NOT AT ALL. Mistakes happen but not at the rate of so many females having baby after baby by different men or the same man. When that is happing then you are not mature enough too even be engaging in sex.
Ladies, YOU are the one that MUST consent. If you did not consent, then it is RAPE. You can say No. That is why when I here it takes two to make a baby I say yes but it takes one to start the process to make it happen. YOU. STOP!

Revenues for Black-Owned Firms Near $89 Billion,
Number of Businesses Up 45 Percent

Revenues generated by the nation’s 1.2 million black-owned businesses rose 25 percent between 1997 and 2002 to $88.8 billion in 2002, while the number of such firms grew by 45 percent in the same five-year period. This is according to a new report, Survey of Business Owners: Black-Owned Firms: 2002, released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.

“It’s encouraging to see not just the number but the sales and receipts of black-owned businesses are growing at such a robust rate, confirming that these firms are among the fastest growing segments of our economy,” said Census Bureau Director Louis Kincannon.
New York had the greatest number of black-owned firms with 129,324, followed by California (112,873), Florida (102,079), Georgia (90,461) and Texas (88,769). These five states accounted for about 44 percent of all black-owned businesses in the United States. Other states with high numbers of black-owned firms include Maryland, Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan, Virginia and Louisiana.
Cook County, Ill., and Los Angeles County, Calif., had the largest numbers of black-owned businesses in the nation. Cook County, with 54,758 black-owned firms, accounted for 80 percent of all black-owned firms in Illinois. Los Angeles County, with 52,674 black-owned firms, accounted for 47 percent of all black-owned firms in California.

These counties were followed by Kings County, N.Y. (37,499); Prince George’s County, Md. (28,389); Miami-Dade County, Fla. (28,359); and Harris County, Texas (27,770).

New York City had more black-owned firms than any other city in the country at 98,076. The city with the second largest number of black-owned businesses was Chicago (39,424), followed by Los Angeles (25,958), Houston (21,226) and Detroit (19,530).

. In 2002, nearly 4-in-10 black-owned firms operated in health care and social assistance, and other services, such as personal services, and repair and maintenance. They owned 9.7 percent of all such businesses in the United States.
· Retail trade, and health care and social assistance services accounted for 28.6 percent of all black-owned business revenue.
· There were 10,727 black-owned firms operating in 2002 with receipts of $1 million or more. Revenue for these firms was about $49 billion, compared to $40 billion in 1997, up 22 percent. These firms accounted for 1 percent of the total number of black-owned firms in 2002 and 55 percent of their total receipts.
· There were 973 black-owned firms with 100 employees or more in 2002, compared to 889 in 1997, up 9 percent. These firms generated $16 billion in gross receipts, an increase of 31 percent since 1997. Firms of this size accounted for 24.3 percent of the total revenue for black-owned employer firms in 2002.
· Black-owned firms accounted for 5 percent of all non-farm businesses in the United States in 2002.
· About 8 percent of black-owned firms employed more than 756,000 people.

I was thinking today about solutions that could solve the biggest problem facing black people.
What is the biggest problem facing black people today?

ECONOMICS.

There are just not enough jobs for people who want to work. The separation between the haves and have nots plus the erosion of the middle class because of out sourcing and technology is freighting.
The job market is so fierce that a movement is under way to erase Affirmative Action. If this campaign succeeds, the job market for blacks will be almost nil.

So how do we fix the economics?

EDUCATION.

We must find a way to reach our children so that we maintain their interest too want to learn all they can because they will be able to use the education. Learning must be interesting.
My children learned every Rap song recorded and it wasn’t aloud in my home and after they got home their time was structured. I here small children reciting Rap that can’t read or know their multiplication tables. Children today have grown up issues. Children today are far more advance then yesterday. Test must be taken by educators so that they understand these issues and how to identify them regularly. Successful people from all economic levels in finance and business must come to schools on a regular bases to speak to the children, see where their interest are, and follow up with them. (Parents are invited on those days) Finance should be a must for all grades. We must make entrepreneurs not job seekers. We must make employers not employees. The Superintendent of a school district does not have to be an educator. They should be a Civil Engineer with a degree in Finance and Business and surround themselves with academia.

So while almost any company within any business category has an ad offering their services as a "solution," the customer is still forced to do business with a company they won't know.

For most people, this situation produces a little anxiety. It's why most customes choose to call those specialists with ads that reduce their felt anxiety. Ads that make them feel... "This guy is speaking exactly to my needs, he knows where I'm coming from and he sincerely cares about solving my problem."

So how can you make your ad convey this kind of message to a prospect?
You have to do two things
Speak to your customers' specific, motivating concern in your ad.
Specialize in your customers' specific problem - and say so in your ad!

This is easy strategy to understand, but hard to implement, because to specialize means targeting your ad to only one specialty. If your ad lists 5 or more of your "specialties," then you're not a specialist in the eyes of the prospect! This means you have to consciously direct your message (both content and graphics) to what will feel like a small subsection of your business category. Advertising yourself as a specialist and speaking to your target audiences' motivating concerns will cause your customers to continue the conversation by giving YOU their business. Anything else tends to fall on deaf ears - no matter how eye-catching the ad is.

Here's an example: As I said, I’m a Master Plumber, You're concerned about your water heater; it isn't working well and has started leaking water into your basement. You want to find a plumber. Who will you call, the general all-around plumber, or the "water heater specialist" who has extensive repair experience and, if replacement is needed, can have your new heater installed that very day? Let's say this water-heater specialist even includes an incentive for you to call, and it turned out you needed a new heater, his initial inspection fee would go toward the cost of a brand new heater. Now contrast this with the jack-of-all-trades plumber who lists septic tanks, toilets, water heaters, and ten other "specialties" that he services. Which plumber best speaks to your motivating concern and reduces your anxiety? Which plumber would you be most likely to call?

If you used my company I’d let you pick a free gift from my gift catalog that featured over 3000 gifts that was up to 10% of the total price of your plumbing job. I also did the same thing with another target audience “sewer cleaning”.

I say all of this because onlinebusinesssites.com gives you a chance to specialize and narrow down your target audience with a classified ad that is about the size of a small web page.

It's scary to focus so intently on such a small group of your customers. Having the courage to do so is much harder than paying some guru for a "cartoon-style ad". But a genuine expert will tell you the truth, while casting the widest net possible may feel more comfortable and safe, safe ads won't make your phones ring the way you want them to.

So by all means, develop a unique, benefit-laden headline that speaks to your targeted customers. Use the best eye-popping graphics you can find to help support your headline. And certainly, invest the time and money to come up with the most compelling copy possible. But don't do these things just to catch the eye or to make your ad stand out; use each component to speak to your unique, narrowly-defined customer in a way that will make your phone ring with their business.

DEATH.

I have a friend who has a friend that is slowly dieing because of Cancer.
Lets call the terminal friend Sue and my friend May.

May has a ministry where she will go and prey for people who are about to have serious surgery or who are terminal.

At night Sue is calling May every 10 or 20 minutes to talk, or ask for her to come buy because Sue’s family has forsaken her.

May is a schoolteacher and this keeps her up all night long because she can’t turn her back on Sue in her last hours.

May asked me what should she do.

Here’s what I said to May.
Sue is not ready. (Like someone can get ready for this). She’s lonely and scared and doesn’t want to be alone, especially at night. She doesn’t want to sleep because in her minds eye she will be sleep forever soon. Sleep to her is like practicing death.
Sue will not talk to May about her real feelings and concerns or fears. I think Sue is not ready.

Life is so precious and you really understand this if you see what someone like Sue is going through. I might sound morbid about what I’m going to say but I’m going to say it.
We need to see at an early age people like Sue. We need to talk to people like Sue. We need to listen to people like Sue. We need to love people like Sue who has the courage to deal with being terminal.

What age is an early age? It’s the age when a child is at the crossroads between trying to find themselves and rebellion. It’s between the time when a child is out of control and is trying to grow up as a weed. It’s between the time a child has all the answers (mostly wrong) and a child is lazy because they just know they have tomorrow.

Life is short but broad.

I feel Sue understands that life is so short, and that she still has so much living she should have done and wants to live. Sue is in here early 70’s but her mind is in the early 30’s now. That’s how the mind works. It will always be young and vibrant. It will never get old.

Folks, Take this lesson from Sue, I’m sure she wants everyone to here.
Be everything you can. Do everything you can. Learn everything you can. Go everywhere you can. Love with all your might and live.

God bless you Sue, You’ve taught us today and forever. We will miss you.

BLACK WALLSTREET
Please pass this on to the Iota Family. It's an important part of history that every Black person should know, if they don't know already.

Ron Wallace: co-author of Black Wallstreet: A Lost Dream Chronicles a little-known chapter of African-American History in Oklahoma as told to Ronald E. Childs. If anyone truly believes that the last April attack on the federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was the most tragic bombing ever to take place on United States soil, as the media has been widely reporting, they're wrong-plain and simple. That's because an even deadlier bomb occurred in that same state nearly 75 years ago.

Many people in high places would like to forget that it ever happened. Searching under the heading of "riots," "Oklahoma" and "Tulsa" in current editions of the World Book Encyclopedia, there is conspicuously no mention whatsoever of the Tulsa race riot of 1921, and this omission is by no means a surprise, or a rare case. The fact is, one would also be hard-pressed to find documentation of the incident, let alone an accurate accounting of it, in any other "scholarly" reference or American history book.

That's precisely the point that noted author, publisher and orator Ron Wallace, a Tulsa native, sought to make nearly five years ago when he began researching this riot, one of the worst incidents of violence ever visited upon people of African descent. Ultimately joined on the project by colleague Jay Jay Wilson of Los Angeles, the duo found and compiled indisputable evidence of what they now describe as "A Black Holocaust in America."

The date was June 1, 1921, when "Black Wallstreet," the name fittingly given to one of the most affluent all-black communities in America, was bombed from the air and burned to the ground by mobs of envious whites. In a period spanning fewer than 12 hours, a once thriving 36-black business district in northern Tulsa lay smoldering-A model community destroyed, and a major Africa-American economic movement resoundingly defused.

The night's carnage left some 3,000 African Americans dead, and over 600 successful businesses lost. Among these were 21 churches, 21 restaurants, 30 grocery stores and two movie theaters, plus a hospital, a bank, a post office, libraries, schools, law offices, a half-dozen private airplanes and even a bus system. As could be expected, the impetus behind it all was the infamous Ku Klux Klan, working in consort with ranking city officials, and many other sympathizers. In their self-published book, Black Wallstreet: A lost Dream, and its companion video documentary, Black Wallstreet: A Black Holocaust in America!, the authors have chronicled for the very first time in the words of area historians and elderly survivors what really happened there on that fateful summer day in 1921 and why it happened. Wallace similarly explained to Black Elegance why this bloody event from the turn of the century seems to have had a recurring effect that is being felt in predominately Black neighborhoods even to this day. The best description of Black Wallstreet, or Little Africa as it was also known, would be to liken it to a mini-Beverly Hills. It was the golden door of the Black community during the early 1900s, and it proved that African Americans had successful infrastructure. That's what Black Wallstreet was about.

The dollar circulated 36 to 1000 times, sometimes taking a year for currency to leave the community. Now in 1995, a dollar leaves the Black community in 15 minutes. As far as resources, there were Ph.D's residing in Little Africa, Black attorneys and doctors. One doctor was Dr. Berry who also owned the bus system. His average income was $500 a day, a hefty pocket of change in 1910. During that era, physicians owned medical schools. There were also pawn shops everywhere, brothels, jewelry stores, 21 churches, 21 restaurants and two movie theaters. It was a time when the entire state of Oklahoma had only two airports, yet six blacks owned their own planes. It was a very fascinating community. The area encompassed over 600 businesses and 36 square blocks with a population of 15,000 African Americans. And when the lower-economic Europeans looked over and saw what the Black community created, many of them were jealous. When the average student went to school on Black Wallstreet, he wore a suit and tie because of the morals and respect they were taught at a young age.

The mainstay of the community was to educate every child. Nepotism was the one word they believed in. And that's what we need to get back to in 1995. The main thoroughfare was Greenwood Avenue, and it was intersected by Archer and Pine Streets. From the first letters in each of those names, you get G.A.P., and that's where the renowned R&B music group The GAP Band got its name. They're from Tulsa. Black Wallstreet was a prime example of the typical Black community in America that did business, but it was in an unusual location. You see, at the time, Oklahoma was set aside to be a Black and Indian state. There were over 28 Black townships there. One third of the people who traveled in the terrifying "Trail of Tears" along side the Indians between 1830 to 1842 were Black people. The citizens of this proposed Indian and Black state chose a Black governor, a treasurer from Kansas named McDade. But the Ku Klux Klan said that if he assumed office that they would kill him within 48 hours. A lot of Blacks owned farmland, and many of them had gone into the oil business. The community was so tight and wealthy because they traded dollars hand-to-hand, and because they were dependent upon one another as a result of the Jim Crow laws.

It was not unusual that if a resident's home accidentally burned down, it could be rebuilt within a few weeks by neighbors. This was the type of scenario that was going on day-to-day on Black Wallstreet. When Blacks intermarried into the Indian culture, some of them received their promised '40 acres and a Mule,' and with that came whatever oil was later found on the properties.

Just to show you how wealthy a lot of Black people were, there was a banker in a neighboring town who had a wife named California Taylor. Her father owned the largest cotton gin west of the Mississippi [River]. When California shopped, she would take a cruise to Paris every three months to have her clothes made. There was also a man named Mason in nearby Wagner County who had the largest potato farm west of the Mississippi. When he harvested, he would fill 100 boxcars a day. Another brother not far away had the same thing with a spinach farm. The typical family then was five children or more, though the typical farm family would have 10 kids or more who made up the nucleus of the labor.

On Black Wallstreet, a lot of global business was conducted. The community flourished from the early 1900s until June 1, 1921. That's when the largest massacre of non-military Americans in the history of this country took place, and it was lead by the Ku Klux Klan. Imagine walking out of your front door and seeing 1,500 homes being burned. It must have been amazing.

Survivors we interviewed think that the whole thing was planned because during the time that all of this was going on, white families with their children stood around on the borders of the community and watched the massacre, the looting and everything---much in the same manner they would watch a lynching.

In my lectures I ask people if they understand where the word "picnic" comes from. It was typical to have a picnic on a Friday evening in Oklahoma. The word was short for "pick a nigger" to lynch. They would lynch a Black male and cut off body parts as souvenirs. This went on every weekend in this country. That's where the term really came from. The riots weren't caused by anything Black or white. It was caused by jealousy. A lot of white folks had come back from World War I and they were poor. When they looked over into the Black communities and realized that Black men who fought in the war had come home heroes that helped trigger the destruction. It cost the Black community everything, and not a single dime of restitution---no insurance claims-has been awarded to the victims to this day.

Nonetheless, they rebuilt. We estimate that 1,500 to 3,000 people were killed, and we know that a lot of them were buried in mass graves all around the city. Some were thrown in the river. As a matter of fact, at 21st Street and Yale Avenue, where there now stands a Sears parking lot, that corner used to be a coal mine. They threw a lot of the bodies into the shafts. Black Americans don't know about this story because we don't apply the word holocaust to our struggle. Jewish people use the word holocaust all the time. White people use the word holocaust. It's politically correct to use it. But when we Black folks use the word, people think we're being cry babies or that we're trying to bring up old issues. No one comes to our support. In 1910, our forefathers and mothers owned 13 million acres of land at the height of racism in this country, so the Black Wallstreet book and videotape prove to the naysayers and revisionists that we had our act together. Our mandate now is to begin to teach our children about our own, ongoing Black holocaust. They have to know when they look at our communities today that we don't come from this.

Dinky Pluto Loses Its Status As Planet

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Pluto, beloved by some as a cosmic underdog but scorned by astronomers who considered it too dinky and distant, was unceremoniously stripped of its status as a planet Thursday.

The International Astronomical Union, dramatically reversing course just a week after floating the idea of reaffirming Pluto's planethood and adding three new planets to Earth's neighborhood, downgraded the ninth rock from the sun in historic new galactic guidelines.

The shift will have the world's teachers scrambling to alter lesson plans just as schools open for the fall term.

"It will all take some explanation, but it is really just a reclassification and I can't see that it will cause any problems," said Neil Crumpton, who teaches science at a high school north of London. "Science is an evolving subject and always will be."

Powerful new telescopes, experts said, are changing the way they size up the mysteries of the solar system and beyond. But the scientists at the conference showed a soft side, waving plush toys of the Walt Disney character Pluto the dog - and insisting that Pluto's spirit will live on in the exciting discoveries yet to come.

"The word 'planet' and the idea of planets can be emotional because they're something we learn as children," said Richard Binzel, a professor of planetary science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who helped hammer out the new definition.

"This is really all about science, which is all about getting new facts," he said. "Science has marched on. ... Many more Plutos wait to be discovered."

Pluto, a planet since 1930, got the boot because it didn't meet the new rules, which say a planet not only must orbit the sun and be large enough to assume a nearly round shape, but must "clear the neighborhood around its orbit." That disqualifies Pluto, whose oblong orbit overlaps Neptune's, downsizing the solar system to eight planets from the traditional nine.

Astronomers have labored without a universal definition of a planet since well before the time of Copernicus, who proved that the Earth revolves around the sun, and the experts gathered in Prague burst into applause when the guidelines were passed.

Predictably, Pluto's demotion provoked plenty of wistful nostalgia.

"It's disappointing in a way, and confusing," said Patricia Tombaugh, the 93-year-old widow of Pluto discoverer Clyde Tombaugh.

"I don't know just how you handle it. It kind of sounds like I just lost my job," she said from Las Cruces, N.M. "But I understand science is not something that just sits there. It goes on. Clyde finally said before he died, 'It's there. Whatever it is. It is there.'"

The decision by the IAU, the official arbiter of heavenly objects, restricts membership in the elite cosmic club to the eight classical planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Pluto and objects like it will be known as "dwarf planets," which raised some thorny questions about semantics: If a raincoat is still a coat, and a cell phone is still a phone, why isn't a dwarf planet still a planet?

NASA said Pluto's downgrade would not affect its $700 million New Horizons spacecraft mission, which this year began a 9 1/2-year journey to the oddball object to unearth more of its secrets.

But mission head Alan Stern said he was "embarrassed" by Pluto's undoing and predicted that Thursday's vote would not end the debate. Although 2,500 astronomers from 75 nations attended the conference, only about 300 showed up to vote.

"It's a sloppy definition. It's bad science," he said. "It ain't over."

Under the new rules, two of the three objects that came tantalizingly close to planethood will join Pluto as dwarfs: the asteroid Ceres, which was a planet in the 1800s before it got demoted, and 2003 UB313, an icy object slightly larger than Pluto whose discoverer, Michael Brown of the California Institute of Technology, has nicknamed "Xena." The third object, Pluto's largest moon, Charon, isn't in line for any special designation.

Brown, whose Xena find rekindled calls for Pluto's demise because it showed it isn't nearly as unique as it once seemed, waxed philosophical.

"Eight is enough," he said, jokingly adding: "I may go down in history as the guy who killed Pluto."

Demoting the icy orb named for the Roman god of the underworld isn't personal - it's just business - said Jack Horkheimer, director of the Miami Space Transit Planetarium and host of the PBS show "Star Gazer."

"It's like an amicable divorce," he said. "The legal status has changed but the person really hasn't. It's just single again."

Confidence Lost and Restored

The development of savings institutions was a logical outgrowth of fraternal societies. Yet the path from beneficial society to lending institution to chartered bank was not a smooth one. This was partly due to the earlier experience of blacks with the Freedman's bank. In 1865, Congress incorporated the Freedman's Savings and Trust Company as a banking institution for the former slaves "to receive on deposit such sums of money as may be offered . . . and investing the same in the stocks, bonds, treasury notes or other securities of the United States." The bank was a massive failure, as corrupt bureaucrats swindled its depositors out of millions of dollars. This was a devastating loss that set back the movement toward thrift among blacks. Booker T. Washington wrote, "It was years before the Negro people regained sufficient confidence in banks and in themselves to make a Negro bank possible."

Yet eventually that confidence was regained, and blacks came together in towns and cities, determined to create their own private banks. Butler writes, "Because they had been led to believe that the Freedmen's Bank was a government institution, they lost a tremendous amount of confidence in the whole federal apparatus in Washington. Even after the memories faded, they turned to the creation of private banks in attempt to 'seek for themselves.'" This ambitious effort turned out to be one of the most constructive phases of black Americans' history.

Butler continues, "The history of this effort-as with the history of banking in America-was filled with triumphs and failures, but it was this banking industry which provided the seed money for business enterprises in the period following the Civil War." Citing Abram Harris's 1936 study of the black banking tradition, Butler claims, "From 1888 to 1934, no less than 134 banks were founded and organized by Afro-Americans. Under this classification are private banks doing a general banking business and banks operating under state or national charters. It does not include credit unions, industrial loan associations, or building and loan societies," of which there were many.

It was this banking tradition that made possible the impressive growth of black businesses in the United States. Between 1867 and 1917, the number of black businesses increased from 4,000 to 50,000. This could not have occurred without the sources of capital provided through banks and similar lending institutions. In 1907, Booker T. Washington wrote, "Nearly every colored community of any size has a building and loan association, and these organizations have been of the very highest value in teaching the people habits of saving and enabling small wage earners to purchase homes. It is said that one-half of the homes owned by colored people in Virginia were built by the aid of building and loan associations."

In William Kenneth Boyd's 1927 study of Durham, North Carolina, he writes, "The increase in wealth, the rise of institutions for public welfare, and the spirit of cooperation have not been confined to one race. The progress of whites has been accompanied by corresponding progress among the Negroes."

From Church's to Banks (Black owned banks) the wealth of all races grew because of because of us owning our own banks.

Can you see that we as a people must stop the nonsence and stop it now. Only then will we achieve true fredom.

Early Self-Help Institutions

Historian John Sibley Butler, in Black Entrepreneurship and Self-Help Among Black Americans, describes how black-owned businesses prior to the Civil War were augmented by a tradition of self-help institutions. Decades before the war, church relief societies provided for sickness, health care and death benefits. After Emancipation, these church societies would provide funding for dozens of private schools (and help to subsidize underfunded state schools), while often providing loans that capitalized small enterprises. Out of these church societies grew the beneficial societies that eventually spread throughout most black communities.

In Petersburg, Virginia, for example, in 1898, there were 22 beneficial societies. Butler writes, "Membership ranged from 22 to 163 persons. Their annual assessments ranged from 60c to $7.00. They paid sick and death benefits to their members." Black lodges of secret societies, such as the Masons, the Odd Fellows and the Knights of Pythias provided more formal insurance benefits. In Arkansas, for instance, between 1892 and 1905, a Masonic Temple paid out $125,000 to "widows and orphans." Butler writes, "From the 1700s to 1915, fraternal and beneficial societies served the masses of Afro-Americans and helped to bring a sense of security to a people who were going through one of the most trying times in their history."

Although these societies were not businesses in the true sense, Butler claims that they laid the groundwork for the many successful black-owned insurance companies that would come later. As the result of the millions of dollars collected in these organizations, "thousands of young Afro-American families were helped in getting an education, hundreds of homes were paid for, and mortgages were satisfied." One report tells about the members of a particular fraternal society deciding that "their large collections in endowment premiums could be utilized as a great agency for good." And referred to their lending practices as "intelligent cooperation."

Do you see this. It's the Church. Do you want insurance, a mortgage, a lone for a business, education etc., then go to the Church.

"Let Us Muzzle the Wail and Think Straight"

During the early decades of this century,(1900) black-owned newspapers played a special role in the lives of blacks, whether they lived in small towns or large cities. Wherever there was a black population, there was likely to be a weekly newspaper, sometimes several, as in cities like Washington, DC, Chicago and Philadelphia. The Norfolk Journal and Guide, Pittsburgh Courier, Philadelphia Independent, Chicago Defender, the Bee newspaper chain, Memphis Triangle, New York Age, Savannah Tribune, The World, Louisville News, The Freeman, Afro-American, Nashville Globe, Boston Reliance, Black Dispatch-these are names of just a few such publications. Some live on today in reconstituted versions, but most have long since passed into history.

In the pages of these early newspapers, one can follow much of the social history of black life-from the serious problems faced by a restricted group, to the joys of individual successes and triumphs, to the trivial gossip, intrigues and scandals of the day. Although newspapers were founded by people of varied backgrounds, they were frequently initiated by established businessmen. It is not surprising then that, in the pages of so much of the black press during this period, we can learn about the rise, decline, and sometimes resurrection of particular businesses.

Throughout these early decades, the black press was a chief promoter of black enterprise, inspiring and even cheer leading the community on, as it celebrated the initiation of new businesses. Typical of these sentiments is an editorial in the June 1, 1927 edition of the Memphis Triangle: The new Negro is the optimistic Negro. He believes in himself and, therefore, in others of his race. He believes in Negro business and gives it his full support. He believes in Negro institutions and lends his cooperation in building them up. He believes in the future. The old Negro is the pessimistic Negro. He does not believe in himself or any other Negro. He does not believe in Negro business and hence does not trade at Negro stores or put his money in Negro banks. He believes the case of his race is hopeless unless someone else guides its destiny.

Same old story way back then.

I've been pushing for black businesses to network. I've been pushing the need to advertise in a black directory, a black paper and in the 21 first centry, online.

Like so many men of his era, Charles Henry Douglass seized opportunities when they came, and created them when they didn't. Confident, enterprising and imaginative, he was perfectly matched for the world of business.

His career as a businessman, in Macon, Georgia, spanned 1898 to 1940, as he successfully weathered even the stock market crash of 1929. In the course of those years, he owned or leased close to 100 properties, along with restaurants, saloons, two movie theaters and a hotel.

He was president of the Middle Georgia Savings & Investment Co. for eight years, afterward serving as a director. Early in his career, he had bought shares in this bank (when it was the Georgia Loan & Savings Co.). It is also the place where he met the bank's cashier, Fannie Appling, who was to become his wife. Respected as one of the black community's most prosperous and influential citizens, he was credited with helping the city of Macon enlarge its business life.

Who was Douglass? He was a man whose mother and father died when he was barely out of his teens, leaving him to figure out how to support his two younger sisters. With only a rural elementary school education, he became an agricultural laborer. He held his next job, as a carriage driver for a doctor, while also working at a candy manufacturing plant. He managed to support the family until the mid-1890s, when both sisters married. Douglass then left Macon for more profitable work in another city. There, he saved money and returned to Macon in 1898, with $24 to spare.

With this, he bought a partnership in a small bicycle repair and rental business. Thus began a brilliant business career, to which he applied his savvy and intelligence. About the bicycle business, he said, "I did fairly well until the automobile craze came, then I sold out and went into the hotel and real estate business, in which I prospered."

And prosper he did. From 1904 to 1915, Douglass acquired substantial holdings of real estate and income-producing properties throughout Macon. During this period, he wrote, "I own thirty tenement houses, ranging from three up to eight rooms; two pressed brick stores with flats overhead on Broadway, which I have leased out for $140 per month; thirty acres of good land just outside of city corporation, for which I paid $10,000 in 1913, to be subdivided in building lots on which I am raising truck, fruits, Duroc and Berkshire pigs and game chickens . . ."

In 1904, Douglas began his career in the theater business by leasing the Ocmulgee Park Theater in Macon. Two years later, he sold the lease in order to buy a building on Broadway, which he renovated and turned into the Colonial Hotel. He then bought the adjacent property, restored it, and opened the Douglass Theater, which was really a complex that included a restaurant, billiard parlor, soda fountain and liquor store.

By 1911, the theater and the hotel (renamed the Douglass Hotel) had become the focal point for black entertainment, which they remained for nearly half a century. The theater showed first run motion pictures, as well as films by independent black film makers. Live entertainment was featured, and performers such as Bessie Smith appeared, along with a host of black stage and screen stars. As profits grew, Douglass and a partner founded a vaudeville group.

Following in the footsteps of other black realtors of the Jim Crow period, Douglass was determined to provide blacks with quality accommodations. He was responsible for the construction of several housing tracts and individual residences throughout the city, as well as a number of office and commercial buildings along Broadway.

He was proud of his theater and the contribution it made to the city. He said, "My theater is kept sanitary, clean, [and with] plenty of oscillating fans and two exhaust fans take away the impure air . . . I have the only Negro Picture Operator that is allowed in the State of Georgia and I believe that I am doing my people good by giving them nice, clean and wholesome entertainment."

A contemporary said of him, "Mr. Douglass does not hoard his money in banks. He spends it and makes employment for our people . . . He has placed his money in circulation in business where it can bless the people . . ." Douglass was well known for his interest in business development among blacks, and gave much of his time to organizations like the National Business Men's League and the Chamber of Commerce.

His skill as a businessman was matched by his concern for the welfare of blacks. He supported several educational institutions and was described as giving "liberally" to many worthy causes.

His 70th birthday celebration (just three months before he died in 1940) was a festive affair attended by his large family, many friends, and business associates. At this event, Douglass asked his two sons, Charles and Peter, to promise that they would carry on his businesses "in an admirable manner."

Both the Douglass Theater and the hotel are now landmarks in Macon. Prior to restoration, a large number of papers were removed from the theater offices for historical assessment and preservation. The Douglass Theater Collection has proven to be a highly significant record of over 800 pieces of advertising memorabilia, correspondence, ledgers, and playbills. These offer insights into operation of the theater, and the early history of the entertainment industry and the vaudeville stage. Also, the collection offers unique information about many of the early independent black film makers, actors and production companies.

Don't tell me it can't be done.

I got myself upset for a moment. Our people and thier slave mentality. Our civic and political leaders with excuses for this behavier. Our city's exceptance of this ever growing sud-culture. The hip-hop, the movers and shakers that push this distructive lifestyle. The mothers and fathers and families too lazy and too into themselves to demand better from thier own.
Let me stop.

I hope to post some positiveness about black men for a few days in order to calm myself down. So here it goes.

Long before it was decided that America's former slaves were cripples in need of the state's largesse, black men proved their mettle. They developed capital, created banks, thousands of businesses, owned property worth millions of dollars, established schools, and uplifted communities. They did all this during the period now looked back on as "the worst of times."

Philip Payton
Harlem Realtor

Philip Payton, whose father was a barber and mother a hairdresser, was born in 1876, in Westfield, Massachusetts. After learning the barber trade, and after an unsuccessful year of study at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina, Payton headed for New York City, without any certain plans. In New York, he worked as a barber and at various menial jobs, saving what he could. In 1900, he got a job in a real estate office, which paid more than his barbering. It was there that he decided what he wanted to do with his life.

With a partner, he rented a very small, very modest office in Manhattan and opened his first real estate business. It proved a colossal failure, but failure only seemed to whet Payton's appetite to succeed. He tells his story:

The hardships that my wife and I went through before things broke for us would fill a book. If I have gained any success, to my wife belongs the major portion of the credit . . . My customary amount of cash to leave the house with was fifteen cents; five cents to ride downtown, five cents for luncheon and five cents to ride back up town at night . . . I just simply was not making any money. My wife was doing sewing, a day's work or anything else she could get to do to help me along . . . All of my friends discouraged me. All of them told me how I couldn't make it, but none of them, how I could. They tried to convince me that there was no show for a colored man in such a business in New York . . .

I managed to secure charge of another house after a while, and we moved in there. Seemingly, this was the turning point in my business career. Things began to pick up. I began to get charge of more houses. One fine day I made a deal that netted me nearly $1,150. I could hardly believe it true. My wife refused to credit it, until I showed her the checks. From that time things grew better . . . I bought the flat house in which I was living. I bought two more flats and kept them five months when I sold them at a profit of $5,000. I bought another, kept it a month, and made $2,750, another and made $1,500, another and made $2,600, and so on. In all I have owned from time to time nine five-story flats and five private houses, or, in other words, I have had title to $250,000 worth of New York realty.

His story goes on. We're talking about a black man in the 1900's folks. It ain't that hard to do this today my people. All you got to do is know how to read, write, count, speak and get off your sorry a_s.

I've got a question for white people.

What do you teach each other at home about black people?
Is it the same things you know about black people in you work place?
Is it a secrete? Or, is it just plain races?

Here's why I ask.

I have another business. I place vending machines in offices and service them.
I'm also a Master Plumber (40yrs.), so if you have a question about plumbing I'll answer it for you. Anyway back to the question.

I was on my way to service one of my vending machines in a high-income business district.
I was about two miles away from where the vending machine is placed, (Raymond James & Associates).
I guess I was driving behind a white women who saw me in her rear view mirror that I was a black man.
I guess she wanted to get out of my way.
I guess when she turned I turned.
I guess this happen for the two miles I had left to travel.
I didn't notice her car until I was less then 500ft. from where I had to go but. I had to make a left, right and right to go in the driveway parking lot in the rear of the building.
I guess because she was trying to get away from me she made a left, right and right into the same driveway.
I thought she was going where I was going.
She pulled into a parking spot and I moved to the area where I park all the time, which is not in a parking spot because they're reserved but it was behind her.
I got out of my truck and open the doors to where my candy and sodas were staged.
This woman just sat in her car.
I've got my candy out and I saw this woman was trying to back up.
She almost runs over my candy and hit my truck. So I say STOP!!!
I ask her if she's trying to leave? She says yes and could I pull up a little.
I saw she had plenty of room if she took her time so I said, look here, do what I tell you to do and I'll back you out safely.
I said pull up, look at me and turn your wheels the way and when I tell you to.
She pulled up but she almost ran me over, my candy and hit my truck anyway as she backed up, and she DID NOT CARE. She just got out of Dodge as fast as she could.
Then it hit me. She didn't have any business here; it was a coincidence it got this far. She thought I was following her. I'm glad she didn't scream when I tried to help her. I'd be in jail trying to prove that was not following her but only going to work.

I'm so sick of this stuff.

Look, NO white woman has ever used the elevator if I'm going to use it, and I got a dolly full of candy.
Some of these women have on high heels but will choose the stairs too walk up or down three floors rather than use the elevator with me.
Folks, I've been told that I'm not a bad looking man and that I look very handsome with my gray temples. Plus I'm clean and look business. I’m so tired of this fight. But I'll fight it if you make me. Hey, you make the call.

Get your own merchant credit card accounts with a local bank

You may, however, have to go through two different banks to process the major cards -- Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover -- because some banks deal with only two out of the four.

Another problem with local banks is that they often charge a very high "discount rate" or require a very large security deposit (between $5,000 and $10,000).

For those of you who don’t know what a discount rate is, it’s not really a "discount" at all! It’s the percentage you pay on each transaction for the privilege of using credit card services, and it varies according to your credit rating, business history, and the amount of business your site is doing.

For example, if you have a discount rate of 2.5% and you make a credit card sale for $100, you’ll only receive $97.50. The remaining $2.50 goes to the credit card company.

Get merchant credit card accounts through a broker

Getting your merchant credit card accounts through a broker is my personal preference for a number of reasons:

a) They are web-based specialists in getting credit card accounts for online businesses, and, as should be expected, you can apply over the Internet.

b) They have a higher approval rate than banks and should be able to get you a discount rate of 2% to 3% -- even if you’ve been bankrupt.

c) They are affordable and can often have you accepting credit card payments on your web site in as little as 48 hours.

Finding a broker is not difficult. Besides searching online, you can find plenty of brokers in the back of DM (Direct Mail) magazine. But do some research, and make sure that the broker you choose has a good track record.

Hire a fulfillment house and use their credit card accounts

If your company is doing only a few thousand dollars of business each month, a fulfillment house may be a good option for you.

A fulfillment house is a company that will...

a) Take your orders through a 1-800 number with live operators,

b) Process credit cards,

c) Provide some customer service,

d) Ship orders, and

e) Maintain your customer database.

These companies will also let you use their merchant credit card accounts to process your orders for a fee. The downside is that the fee is usually a 5% discount rate instead of the 2% or 3% you would pay if you had your own accounts.

Because of the high discount rate charged by fulfillment houses, I’d recommend that once your business grows larger, you get your own merchant accounts and save some money.

A great place to find nearly 100 fulfillment houses is is Yahoo!’s Fulfillment Services Directory. To get there, just click on "Directory" at Yahoo!'s homepage and then search for "fulfillment houses."

Use a "third party" merchant account provider

Like fulfillment houses, companies such as iBill let you use their merchant accounts. The upside of third party providers is that they can get you up and running quickly, set up your order forms, and process your orders.

The downside is that they charge you a processing fee of 11% to 15% of the selling price -- depending on the volume of business you are doing.

While the discount rate offered by these companies is substantially higher than the other options I’ve been talking about, most do not require any setup fees, software, or security deposits, which make them a simple and convenient option for some.

In addition to iBill, you could also check out:

a) CC Bill,

b) Authorize.Net, or

c) CyberSource.

How using PayPal can expand your customer base and increase your sales

PayPal is an increasingly popular way to accept payments online. Founded in 1998, it enables any individual or business with an e-mail address to send and receive payments over the Internet affordably, securely, and quickly.

Giving your customers the option of speaking with a "real" person adds credibility AND a human element to your online business.

Another benefit is that the person taking the call can answer customers’ questions as well as help "close" the sale by encouraging customers and giving them the final "push" to buy.

To make sure you are able to capture the orders of these customers, you should also...

Have a 1-800 number available 24/7, and

Offer an order form customers can print out and fax or mail.

Final thoughts

If you’re not already accepting credit cards directly from a secure order form on your web site, you are missing out on a HUGE number of sales. With 90% of all online purchases being made with credit cards, you literally can’t afford not to offer this payment option on your website.

However, even if you are set up to process credit cards online, you can’t leave your site off limits to the millions of people who do not have or want to use credit cards.To tap into this lucrative market, you’ve got to provide some of the alternative payment methods I have been talking about.

Think about this.
I listen to all advertising and there's a lot of poor commercials on the airways these days, but there was one today that was very interesting.
It talked about global economics and by the year 2025 that the U.S. will not be the number one economic power in the world anymore. They say it will be China. I wonder why? Then it came to me.
Over the years the U.S. has sold everything under the sun to every Nation in the world. These nations have caught up with the U.S. in so many ways. One of the ways is economics. I wont mention math and science.
In China, education is a must. Not being educated, productive, loyal to you family and ancestors is a disgrace. Pushing to strive for excellence is part of being alive.
No Chinaman will dishonor the family name without paying dearly.
Everyone knows and understands these unwritten laws because everyone is a Chinaman. China is not where you go to exploit everyone not like themselves, that's done here. We here about the sweat factories and cheap labor in the Nation with over a billion people. That's trying to be done here. (Look at the fight for fare wages) But there's something different.
Here, there is a consciousness to hold back from some because the non power group being equal is a frightening thought. Being equal to the power group means the power group has LOST power. The power group has declared this already and will always pass it down. The power group already has all the answers and will work as hard as possible to keep it that way. (Compuware lost a large contract for the Board of Ed. in Detroit and immediately started the name calling and personal attacks of Board members and the companies that got the contract even thought Compuware was $35,000,000 higher then the next bidder.)
Economic power will fail this way. If the power group bent over backwards for everyone equally then the Nation will be forever strong.
We know State education is not equal. Look what the power group has in its schools and look what the group not in power has in its school under the banner of State education. So, you want the nation to be good in math, science, technology etc. I don't think so. I think the Nation wants the power group to be good in math, science, technology etc.
If this Nation can't believe that everyone in it is equal and has a part in its’ greatness, (and they are not) then it is on the same path as Rome.
Everyone must fill the same about this Nation and believe this Nation and its freedom is unquestionably for all. But I'm sorry to say we are 400yrs. behind. We still have to renew a law in order to have the right to vote in this Nation. What a shame. This Nation doesn't get it. Its people don't get it. Each group must make it on its own. That’s too bad.
2025 that sounds about right.

This may get me in troble but I got to say it.
I'm not a young man. I've been around. I've also had to opportunity to here and see some of the greatest Civil Rights people of all times. But.
People please, please stop repeating the same sweat statments that our civil rights people said in the past.

The civil rights movement has changed. The MAN is not in our way anymore. We've got to stop begging and looking for a Messiah to deliver us.

The people in power will not finance the minorty group or groups that will compromise thier all mighty existance. They just will not do it. Would you?

In order to survive as a people the civil rights movement will have to change to economics.
Remember the Bible verse (Give a man a fish and you feed him for one day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for the rest of his life) .
We've got to stop asking for the fish. Stop.
We must learn to be entrepreneurs. We must support our businesses. we MUST stop the crime against each other. We must become educated. WE MUST STEP OUT AND DO FOR OURSELVES. We must NOT wait for a Messiah. And let me tell you about that.

We will only move when we want to or move when the right person tells us to.
Who is the right person? The right person is your personal Messiah. Who is your personal Messiah? It could be your Mom, Dad, Pastor, Teacher, Lover, Radio Personality, etc. --- In other words, It is who ever you will listen to or who can make you move. and this is why we are in the fix we are in.

If I say we need to do this as a people and I'm not one of your Messiahs then I may as well be talking to myself. It doesn't matter how good it is or important it is, it matters who am I and what I am to you.

We need to understand that state education is not going to work for certain minorty groups.
We are not in the mix no matter how smart we are but the plan is to let some of us get in so we don't mutiny. How long do we have to hit ourselves in the head with hammer before we understand it hurts (400yrs.)

We must teach finance in school from day one. We must teach marketing in school from day one. We must teach entrepreneurship in school from day one. If school is only open on M/F then we need to teach our own on Saturday. Church's DO YOUR JOB. Oh, I'm not a Messiah.

If we want ot save our children then we must take charge. Quit the excusses that he or she had no role model. I had no Father and my Mother is not educated. All she could offer me was love. I at times only saw my Mom on weekends because I worked after school and she worked midnights. So, when I got home she was gone on the bus to work. I had practice after school and went to work after practice. She couldn't help me with homework it was beyone her but I still did it when I got home. I also did stupid dumb things too, but not to the tune that it turned me into a idiot.

Mom Dad or Mom or Dad or Grandma or whoever, get off your a_s. The poeople in power tell us everyday some place some where that if you don't do for yourself, tough. Get with the program or die. Be productive or kill yourselves off. Fill sorry for yourselves and get High make babies rob the few businesses you have. Tear up you Homes and Hoods. Live like Zombies. We will catch you and cage you like an animals in a Zoo you fools. Plus we will make money off of you when you spend your money on all the nonsense we can put in your Hood. We will do our best to keep you in dept and ruin you credit. We also know you believe that education is not for you no matter how easy it is. Good.

Business people, I have a pet peeve.
What happen to QUALITY SERVICE and CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I was on the road to Atlanta last week. I stop to get something to eat. When I went to pay my bill I had some Coka Cola glasses also. Well, the cashiers could not find the price for the glasses. (The bar code was wrong.) The glasses were $2.00 ea. but they had no way to enter $2.00 without the bar code. The line began to form behind me. It got up to ten people and thier families and they were still looking for a way to enter $2.00. UNBELIVEABLE.
Next, I wanted to use my cell phone. I have a national plan. I carried two phones in case something happened to one of them I'd have a spare. Once I got out of Michigan I could NOT make a call. (Not in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Georgia). So I called customer service *611. A recorded message said I must call a 800 number. Well I called the 800 number. The recorded message said I must call a 800 number and repeated the number I just called. I had to use the phone of an competitor in order to get customer service to fix my problem.
My problem? My phone could not pick up the towers outside my state. This meant I did not have national service. I've carried national service for over 20 years with the same vendor. Do you think they will give me an adjustment on forever how long I was without national service. NO! It can NOT be figured.
I tried to buy some Church's Chicken at home. I asked for some water with my order because the Doc. said no soda for awhile. They told me it will cost $.52. I asked where is the price posted and was told it wasn't. Well I said, then you can't charge me for the water. Plus to make matters worse, a women was in front of me and asked for a glass of water and she did NOT buy a thing. She not only asked for one glass of water she asked for another when she got through with the first one and got it. She did not buy one product and did not pay the $1.04.
I guess the charge was just for me.
I wrote Church's Chicken headquarters and they never responded to the letter. I asked them how much is thier water and why is it not posted and why do some people have to pay and not others.
People don't run your business like this. Quality and Customer service is the heart beat of your success. Plus, advertise and "Let Us Mind Your Business"

I know I've been away but this was worth it.
We have a brand new paper that hit the market in our city and they did an article on me.

Gaidi: The master plumber with a nose for business.

Leaky faucets and clogged drains might frustrate most of us, but these problems helped kick off a thriving and evolving career for Detroit's Gaidi (who goes by one name only).
Like a few of those leaky pipes, Gaidi's career has had a few twists and bends along the way, but like any good Master Plumber, Gaidi has found a way to work the expected and the unexpected to his advantage.
Gaidi earned industry notoriety at a relatively young age, becoming a Master Plumberat age 25 (and the nations youngest black Master Plumber at the time). He has beenin the plumbing business for 40 years, first starting out as Gaidi's Plumbing Co. Gaidi thanks the prospect of Affirmative Action for getting him into the plumbing program, but his own initiative for making it happen. The Plumbers Local 98 let him in the program before Affirmative Action was enacted, but the lack of work inthe area after he became a Journeyman led him to go for his Masters and create hisown job.
"My first job was a kitchen sink, that I did literally off of my motorcycle, said Gaidi. "I had the materials shipped, strapped my toolbox on the sissy bar and awayI went. The customer said, "If you have the guts to do this from your motorcycle, than I have the guts to let you do it."
That trust gained in the early days fueled the fire for furthering his business. He broadened the name and scope of his business to Gaidi Mechanical, Inc., building churches, libraries, schools, hospitals, a phone company and more in cities including Detroit ,Kalamazoo, Atlanta and Houston.
At the company's peak, there were nearly 50 employees working for Gaidi. Financing didn't come easy, however. The business operated one job at a time, with a materials account and paying the monthly bills. A joint venture project - The Receiving Hospital in the Detroit Medical Center completed in conjunction with Limbach Co. helped set the firms financial footings more firmly. "I'm most proud of that job, saidGaidi, Because our team truly outperformed. Limbach wanted to continue our business relationship for future projects.
While Gaidi no longer contracts, but works for contractors as a Journeyman, he's definitely not the retiring sort. He runs, not one, but two other enterprises. In 2002, Gaidi opened G's Tasty Treats, a vending service, placing and servicing vending machines in offices and small businesses. Gaidi notes that this is nice businessfor his retirement as it's a lot less taxing on the body than pipes, ladders, wrenches, hot and cold weather and being on his worn knees.
Gaidi also manages a web site called "http://www.onlinebusinesssites.com/". The site sells sort of super-sized classified ad on the Internet, with plenty of perks and benefits to distinguish them from typical ads. Customers receive their own URL, control panel, password and ID, and the freedom to make changes to their ad at anytime. Links to three other web sites, photos and multi-category listings provide a mini-web page for a price less than most classifiedads about $10 per month or less.
When asked about professional challenges Gaidi noted, Everything was a big challenge back then. You had to be strong in your constitution and beliefs. I could write a book on the challenges we faced.
Gaidi would like to see more networking and self- and family-employed businesses. "We as a people have so much to offer each other. If we're in a network that we can see and use, that network can police its members so consumers who use that network have a voice about that business.
"It's a myth that every graduating class of every university is going to be employed every year. The world is not like that. We have families that control enough money within themselves to open something and employ family members, stressed Gaidi. "
His advice to young people just starting out is firm, but heavy with the voice of experience. "Quit being a passenger in your life. Take charge of your life. The reason for education is not so you can get a good job, but so you can think productively; so you can go where opportunity is, and work or start a business."
Gaidi's formal education may have ended at high school, but he stressed, "I read and read and read about everything, letting no one and nothing rain on my parade." "I learned to speak well and have manners, and doors have opened." "I didn't let peer pressure dictate who I am." "I did, however, let myself be coachable." And finally, "I did more then what I was paid for, because I knew someone would see this and help me along the way."
Gaidi makes his home in Detroit and proudly boasts about the accomplishments of his three children, who all make their home in Atlanta. His eldest son is a poet and considered one of the tops in the nation. He's also an Air Force veteran; his second son is a fire fighter and his daughter is in her last year of nursing school, and is also an Air Force vet.
He sums up his philosophy on success succinctly:

Sorry folks, I've been away for awhile.
I've been sick. Had to have some test done on the old body.
I've never been sick before so I had no history or a doctor so it took some time.
Folks, you don't want to get sick. Hospitals suck.

I'm OK now and I've been thinking of all kinds of things to blog about but I'll stick to the script.

If you're just getting started on the Internet -- or simply looking for ways to add new revenue streams to your business -- you might consider the option of placing ads for other companies' products on your web site.
After all, who wouldn't like to make a few extra bucks? And it's so simple -- you just put up a couple of ads on your site and wait for the cash to roll in, right?Um... wrong. At least, that's not the way it usually works.

Don't find a product and then try to find a market to sell that product to. Find a market that needs a product and then create a product or service to fill that need.
This is your key to a successful product or service. So many people come up with the "ultimate product", or so they say. Well, it may be the ultimate product to sell, but if you can't target the market that wants to buy it, you are out of business.
The beauty of the Internet is that it is built on pretargeted markets. What I mean by that is that certain interest groups hang out in certain areas of the Internet. For example, you will find skiers at skiing email discussion lists, skiing newsgroups, skiing ezines, skiing related websites, etc.
The point is, it is easy to find skiers online. If you were selling a product that all skiers WANTED. (Notice I said, WANTED, not what YOU think they want or what YOU think they need).
In direct mail, magazine advertising, etc. you pay large sums of money to get a targeted market. On the Internet you can reach this targeted market for very little cost.
So if you have a product or service that has a target market that is hard to find online, you will have trouble selling your product online no matter what you do.
So think about this carefully, do you have a target market who is easily definable? ( try to find a customer that is interested in hunting is easy, but try to find a person who is interested in curing his cold is very hard)
Another major factor that you have to consider is whether or not your target market can afford what you are selling them ( If you are trying to sell a $200 credit repair kit to people with bad credit, you have a problem).
I don't think you realize that what I have just given you is the, KEY TO SUCCESS!
What is that key you ask? Find a market that is easy to reach and then find a need in that market that you can fill.
This is the easiest way to success and almost EVERYONE OVERLOOKS IT!
Think about it, why do diet Infomercials work, why does exercise equipment sell, because people want to be thin! They don't NEED to be thin, they WANT to be thin. People want these solution to their problems and they buy them plain and simple.

On May 14, we covered the "dos," about search engins. So today here come the "don'ts." Although these questionable tactics have worked well in the past, the search engines absolutely hate them. If they catch you using any of these tricks, they may go so far as to drop you from their listings like a hot potato.
1. BEWARE IRRELEVANT LINKS!
Yes, it's a good idea to get a lot of different links pointing to your site, but the search engines only like RELEVANT links. If they find sites that have nothing in common with the content on your site linked to your web site, they'll lower your relevancy rating.
2. BEWARE IRRELEVANT KEYWORDS! Search engines hate finding irrelevant keywords on your site, especially in your meta tags. If they catch you using keywords that have nothing to do with the actual content of your site, they'll penalize you for it.
3. DON'T "KEYWORD STUFF" YOUR META TAGS!
In the past, people used to repeat their keywords in their meta tags over and over again. This used to get them a high ranking with the search engines but not any more. Search engines are on to this trick and will punish you for it by dropping your ranking.
4. DON'T CREATE "LINK FARMS"! "Link farms" are the evil cousins of the "information pages" we discussed before. In the past, some spammers used to build multiple "doorway" sites that existed only to multiply the number of links pointing to their sites. Unlike content-rich information pages, these doorway pages would usually only include a string of keyword terms that would earn them a high ranking with the search engines. The search engines have caught on to this tactic, however, and will drop you from their listings if they find you using it.
5. AVOID "FREE FOR ALL" LINK PAGES!
Don't bother placing links to your site on pages where everyone and their dog is invited to put up a link. Such sites have extremely low relevancy ratings and will cost you points with the search engines.

It’s never too late.
I know some of you out there are straddling the fence about owning an online business or extending your business online.
What’s stopping you, time, fear, lack of knowledge, too many web sites out there already?
Lets take these reasons one at a time.
TIME:
This is the biggest excuse of all. Saying you don’t have time is a polite way of saying I don’t want to do it. If you put the time in something and you made money, you’d make room to do it. And in the aloud time, you made more money then you ever expected, you’d need time to do things the old way or should I say you wouldn’t want to do things the old way. So not having time, try something else.
FEAR:
“The secret of life is to have no fear.” So, fear of what? Adding another stream of business to make more money or expanding your business to the internet so your customers will have an easier way to do business with you or the fear that you may do something wrong? What are you doing wrong with your business now? What are you screwing up? If you’re not screwing up your business now, what makes you think being online will screw it up?
LACK OF KNOWLEDGE:
Baloney! Goggle has more knowledge then you’ll ever need or use. Goggle anything you don’t know and Goggle will give you the answer. Not mom, dad, sis. or bro, Goggle. Want a web site, Goggle. Run a web site, Goggle. Want your site seen, Goggle. Want pictures, Goggle. Want text, Goggle. What ever you can think about someone else has thought about it too and Goggle will have it online. So, what lack of knowledge.
TO MANY WEB SITES:
Listen, there are millions and millions and maybe billions of web sites an information sites on the net. What does that mean? That means millions and millions or maybe billions of people made those sites happen. Don’t think all those people only visit their own site, NO! They’re people and they do what people do, they surf the net also.
Wouldn’t you want millions and millions and maybe billions of people passing your web site 7/24?
Could you use 1% or those people spending $10 with you every month? Lets do the math.
1% of 1,000,000 = 1,000 x $10 = $10,000 per/mo.
In short, I’m saying they’re too many people on the net not to bump into your web site. It’s up to you to have what they want to buy.
I had 800 hits a day while building my site. It wasn’t ready for business. I was building the thing.
My Aunt in Chicago (God rest her sole) sold snow kones from her front porch and paid hers bills with the profits. At the time Chicago’s population was 3,000,000 of which 2,000,000 people lived on the south side where she lived. There were enough people in her neiborhood to make money.
So, there are enough people that surf the web for you to make money.

It's the end of Mother's Day and I hope all the Mothers were proud of thier families today.
I thought I'd talk about search engines for the next day or two.
Over the years things have changed. Search engines don't want to be manipulated by marketers. They want to provide the best unbiased results possible for any given search or they'll lose users. That's why they need to change their algorithms so frequently, to stay ahead of the tricks people use to get top rankings.
That being said, there are still a lot of legitimate ways you can optimize your site without angering the search engines and causing them to drop you from their list. Here are some of the best things you can to do ensure your site has a high ranking:
1. ASK RELEVANT SITES TO LINK TO YOUR SITE.
In the past, scoring a high ranking with a search engine was all about positioning your keywords in "prime real estate" positions in your text and site coding. All that has changed.
These days, links are king! Search engines place a huge amount of importance on the number of sites that link to yours. But it's not just the quantity of links that matter, it's also the quality.
Search engines look at how relevant the links are. Like, how much the content of the linking site has in common with the content on your site.The more relevant, the better!
Search engines also look at how "important" the linking site is. What kind of "online presence" does it have? How much traffic does it get? For example, your site will get a higher ranking if it's linked to by sites such as BBC.com or nationalgeographic.com instead of, say, the personal homepage of your friend's neighbor's kid.
2. PAY ATTENTION TO KEYWORD INCLUSION AND PLACEMENT.
Keywords may no longer be the sole determining factor of a site's ranking, but they're still pretty important. The most useful places to include them are, In your domain name, just make sure your keywords are in the root of your URL, not the stem!
For example, if your main keyword phrase is "cell phones," try to get a domain name such as "cell-phones.com" instead of "mobileusa.com/cell-phones.com." Some search engines will actually penalize sites for including key words in the stem of a URL or in the title tags in your source code or in the meta description of your site. This is much less important than it used to be, but it can't hurt.
In your meta keyword tags, HOWEVER: Be sure you only include relevant keywords!
Search engines will penalize you if you try to sneak in keywords that have nothing to do with the content of your site.
3. CREATE CONTENT-RICH "INFORMATION PAGES" TO DIRECT TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE.
An easy way to boost the number of pages that link to your site is to create some pages yourself but, you have to make sure these pages contain valuable contents that provide people with useful information.
Search engines hate "pointer pages" that have no content and exist only to add to the number of links pointing to a site. Be sure the information relates to the content on your site and has your keywords placed in advantageous positions. This will boost the ranking of your pages with the search engines and ensure they get lots of traffic which they can then redirect to your site.
4. SUBMIT YOUR SITE TO ONLINE DIRECTORIES.
Be sure to submit your site to important directories such as Yahoo!, the Open Directory Project (www.dmoz.org), and About.com, as well as smaller directories. Your listing on these directories will help your ranking with the major search engines.
5. MULTIPLY AND CONQUER.
Create a "community" of related sites that link to each other. Why stop at only one information page? The more content-rich sites that point to your site, the better. You can also boost the number of links that point to your site by dividing it into several separate sites that all link to each other.This works especially well if you sell a number of different products or services.
If you build a different site to focus on each of your products and services, then you can also concentrate the use of specific keyword phrases on each site. That's another great way to boost your search engine ranking.

I went on a trip last time talking about what I would do to solve poverty.
But today I want to get real. I want everyone to know this.
There is a whole lot of us average plain hard working folks that must worry about retirerment.
Will we have enough money?
I think $50,000 plus a year is not bad if you're dept free but how do you get to that sum.
Lets do some math.
We want $50,000 every year. lets keep it simple and say $5,000 per month.
If you have a retirement plan that's going to pay you $5,000 plus per mo. good this is not for you.
How mush is $50,000 per yr.
It's equivalent to having $800.000 @ 6% interest and you get paid the interest every year and you don't touch the money.
So, if you want to have $50,000 a yr. you must save $800,000. It's as easy as that.
You've got to save more than $26,000 per yr. for thirty years.
Lets get real.
Us little folks ain't going to do that but we can do something else.
$50,000 is $200 per day.
Can we make $200 per day. Yes!
We must do something that will make us $200 per day. Maby have a business.
You see, retirement doesn't mean doing nothing, it means doing something else.
$800,000 @ 6% is good if you can get 6%. You may only get 3%.
So you could have $800,000 and still only get $25,000 per yr. if you don't want to touch the money.
Whats the moral of the story?
Get a business to make $200 per day and live like you have $800,000 @ 6% interest.
And to get your business to make $200 per day, you said it.

I could end poverty tomorrow.
I've talked to some friends about poverty the other day. Did you know that they're over
3,500,000 people in poverty today in the U.S. and we spend $350,000,000 annually with
programs to help them.
What an industry!
What a waste.
If I had it my way I'd give $50,000 to every child born in the U.S.
I'd put the money in an annuity in thier name.
The money could not be touched until thier 18th birthday.
Here's the catch.
The child MUST maintain a C average through out school.

We open a business, get some business cards, buy a suit, join organizations that are no
more than a fraternity were we go to say look at me, I'm in business. I'm now somebody.
Wrong!
Look people, you got to hit the sidewalks.
If an organization has no plan to hit the sidewalks forget them.
They will waste your time.
You can spend thousands joining this and that and don't make a dime.
You can end up feeling that you don't have a market.
Listen, don't talk to anyone who hasn't been in business in your market. Here's why.
We all to often talk to our husbands, wifes, boy friends, girl friends, moms and dads about a business we want to start. What kind of feed back do you think you are going to get from them if they've never been in business.
These people love you. they are going to tell you too be careful. Heck, they may not ever need your product or service so what are you talking to them for. You love them so anything they say your're going to take at heart because they have your best interest in mind.
Talk to people/groups in your target market. Talk to your competition. Join organizations with your market in mind or could use your product or service. Make better offers than your competition.
Don't give away the store, but make sure you get your foot in the door so you can show your skills. If it's an introductory offer so be it.

Hi out there.
I've been in the lows today.
Last night someone tried to steal my mother's car.
They crushed the steering column to try to start the car with a screwdriver.
The car, (a 1986 Mercury)
This car has no value except for my mom who's 76 years old.
This is what happens when we have a class of people who are desperate and have
no other means to survive.

You see, people who will steal a 1986 car have no hope.
Writing a check is a chore. Paying rent is out the question. Eating food is a luxury.
Taking a bath is a waste of time. Be productive? What's that.
Working for the man, I cain't get no respect that way.
So they got to steal a 76 year old women's car.

Don't let me get off on this. Low lifes got to get hi so I should understand.
How else can they get money to get all f--k up. Hey, stealing yo mom's car ain't personal.
Robbing folks is business. Breaking into houses got good stuff they can fence.
Getting hi man is better then sex. I said don't let me get off on this didn't I.

A lot of people want to go into business when the rug has ben pulled from underneath them.
No job, no unemployment, no pension, no walfare, no mommy and daddy money and the list goes on.
Listen, I don't care what you do for a living, YOU MUST OPEN UP A BUSINESS. You must be self employed.
In America if you don't have a business, you will be exploited.
America rewards poeple who create for themselves with tax deductions. America wants you to grow and hire people and buy computers, paint, copiers, flooring, and trucks.
America wants you to buy homes, boats, and travel.
America wants you to be an employer and put people to work so she can get more money in taxes.
Grant and lones for businesses helps the government. America can pays her bills.
Ya see, America knows if she sits on the money, people get laid off. If she gives away the money
people spend it and if they spend it she gets taxes.
(Our spending on this war doesn't count.)
Look, LLC's, and INC's are even better so people PLEASE, PLEASE get self employed before the walls cave in.
Use part of jobs income to start a business.
A friend of mine (retired) made $35,000 selling grapes and roasted peanuts at softball games.
Being self employed is the only way to achieve ture security.
